I'm really hoping it's the Courage leaving on the 21st. But they may not be able to get the MINIs to the port in time since everything got pushed back. Argh.

I wonder if the strike is going to have any impact on the completion date. I was told the 17th, with any luck that date will stick.

Well maybe this will help: I ordered a car and the next day decided to add one more option (like nobody ever does that, right?). It turns out that the car was already too late to change so I got a new car with the option I wanted. In short, I am tracking 2 production numbers that I got one day apart. My latter production number will be completed 3 days after my orignal car....so it seems I ended up being pushed out an extra 2 days for completion...the same number of days of the plant shutdown.

So I am guessing that whatever day they told you is the day you are getting...they are already factoring in the plant shutdown.

You know...the factor that might have more impact is what ship you get booked on.

The strike is supposedly short lived. I believe the police have disbursed much of it already. I hope it doesnt hurt the production too much. I dont think I can handle the waiting. I check the owners lounge only about 100 times a day Im pretty happy with the pace so far though. I ordered on the 12th and got my vin and scheduled for production today the 14th.

Just checked my status this morning. It went from est. completion on the 17th to the 18th. I can take one day, I guess.

MarkusSanDiego, because you ordered a second car does that mean you lose your deposit on the first, or are you getting two? I was having second thoughts about not ordering the Navigation and wanted to have it added, but it was too late for me as well.

My salesman just switched me to a new production slot & number. I'm only getting one car. As far as the deposit goes, you can't lose a deposit in California. Even if the car arrives on the lot exactly as I ordered it I can refuse it and get a refund...California law.

I'm jealous, the dealer I went to didn't have anything with navigation . I thought 2k was a bit much. But thinking back when I bought my Murano in 2003 I thought the same thing but got it anyway. I love the way it integrated the audio, climate, warning system etc. into the display.

I think both of ours just jumped two days to make up for the loss of the weekend. Now we just have to hope we hit the outgoing ship on the 21st! (Or the K-Line on the 23rd since it looks like that one would hit Charleston before the WW on the 21st.) Either way hopefully we won't have a delay on our delivery dates!

In the 1st gen MINIs I refused to get the nav because it moved the speedo. On the new ones it was a nice option, but I didn't have room in my budget. So I'll stick with my nuvi.

I haven't had a confirmed date (still saying it's supposed to be next week), yet, so I think I might be missing these boats. :(

Have you called 866-ASK-MINI ?? If your car is being built this coming week I would think that 866 hotline will tell you the completion date. Have your production number ready when you call. It's an automated system...you can call it 7/24 (and some of us do)

Yeah...I just talked to the rep on Friday. He said it should be sometime 16-22 (and specifically said week 25, as well), but no confirmed date. Not quite how that one works.

Just talked to MINI-USA...they said I was in production today, scheduled completion on the 6/22! I may not have to invade Spain after all.

Hey, all... nice to see the Week 25ers getting together! I've been patiently waiting for my MINI now for 12 days now--not even two weeks but it seems like an eternity. When it finally moved to Scheduled for Production, the anticipation wore off for a day or so, but now is coming back on strong waiting for some news that it is moving along the production line!

I've been calling ASK MINI almost daily and so far, I haven't yet made it to the body/paint shop . The other reports are right, though... you get different answers from different ASK MINI people. I've heard completion dates from the 18th through the 20th and back again. My MINI seems to have centered the 20th, so that's what I'm looking forward to at this point.

I'm hoping to be on the K-Line's Emden which leaves on the 23rd. It is scheduled to arrive in Charleston on the 3rd of July... two days before the WW Courage, which departs Southhampton on the 21st. At this point a completion date of the 20th is fine with me!

Should be back into production by now or relatively soon. Let's just hope this doesn't happen again.
