Mine's still showing as "Scheduled For Production" - guess that completion hasn't happened yet. But I'll check again in the AM.

I couldn't help but check too, just to make sure. If anything, you have to love this site for having different ways to keep busy while waiting with everyone else!

The owners lounge is way behind. Mine still shows as scheduled when it's completed and sitting at the dock. Call ask-mini. And don't use the voice prompts - get a person. Also see the sticky thread in this forum (first gear) for the true details on how to track your MINI.

While we're all waiting...has anyone come up with their MINI's name?
Yesterday, while filling up the Jeep, I decided that mine might be Jack. Maybe when I see him, I'll know for sure.

I got the same answer, J.D.'s in the body shop. Do you think the ASK-MINI automated system might still be a little behind on the "WHEREABOUTS" of the "Little One's"

The Tasco - Departing May 9, Arriving May 21

Hey all -- I'm a Week 17 that just found you guys (I was hanging out in the Clubman forum and just now found the 1st Gear). I was originally scheduled to be Week 19, but they started production on April 22 and it's estimated to be complete today (they're assembling as we speak!). So I guess that means I'm hoping to be on board the Tasco.

I actually work in Charleston (live just outside of it) -- if only it didn't have to go all the way up to Greenville to the distribution center before coming back home!

I'm glad to see some male names. I was thinking about a masculine name, but my husband insists that all cars are female so it's been a point of contention lol. I'm still tossing around ideas...haven't come across the perfect one yet.

Oh, and can I be added to the table? Production start 4/22, est completion 4/30, ship unknown!

I called ASK-MINI today and decided to go for the human touch. I got the same answer as you..."In the body shop". The guy couldn't tell me a completion date...the automated system still says 5/2. I'm wondering if they are suffering system problems. I keep checking the bookings on WW just in case!

ClubDal...welcome! You're on the list. I'll post a consolidated update this evening sometime...maybe I'll get lucky and get a top spot on page 6 to keep Bernard_1962 at bay

Yep...Cliffjumper...or CJ for short.

Named for the small, red, aggressive Transformer I remember so fondly from my childhood.

I named the design on the configurator WaaHoo, but I don't really want to use that as a name for the car. We've been trying to come up with an idea and a post I made earlier today on another thread got me thinking. I once heard someone refer to her MINI as her fountain of youth. I've really come to appreciate that description. Driving one of these wonderful cars does make you feel young again. So I mentioned that today and it put an idea in my head. I hunted down things related to Ponce De Leon. It turns out that one of the mythical places he's supposed to have found the fountain of youth is on the Bahama island of Bimini. So I'm thinking of BiMINI for a name. Still not sure if it's a boy or girl.

If you don't use it some one will, now that you post it. It's a cool name.

When you take delivery, you'll just have to lift its tailpipe and check!
I have never named a vehicle before. My wife says I should name it the Shaguar. I can even get a NYS license plate to that effect but I have to play the 4 trick on one of the A's. I'd do that if I had ordered a red mini and plastered union jacks all over it. As of now, my MINI is nameless.

I think the Clubman is more a "MINI-MINI" Van then a station wagon.

Please forgive me for using that seven letter word "minivan" I still have my Chevy Astro, & a "VW Bug", but as soon the Clubman arrives the Astro will be use for hauling large item that the clubbie can't handle.

Our garage = 100% cleaned out & ready to use
