Hi , Looks like my mini has been built in production week 17. I ordered 4/19/08. Just got word from my MA that it has been built and waiting to be loaded on a ship.
Checked miniusa owners lounge and sure enough I moved up one step closer to delivery. Woot !
My Ma gave me a link to a tracking website

She tells me to plug in the last 7 digits of my vin to track .
As this morning it does not recognize my vin # .
Is this what you all were told use the last 7 digits of your vin # to track.

ClubDal, I spoke to a representative last night and they said that it was still in the shop and is scheduled for completion today. The girl that I spoke with gave me little information but when a during a previous call, a man gave a lot of specifics. I guess I will try in the morning. I call so many times, it would be funny if I got the same representative twice (they would think I'm a little weird ) That would be awesome if the completion date was right on and my Clubman is waiting to explore the seas.

Then about a week at sea. Be lucky they do deported them and not throw them in jail.

Anytime I call and talk to ASK-MINI, the only thing the recording or person says is that my vehicle is in production. The website says it's scheduled for production.
Estimated completion May 2, (tomorrow). Have any of you had this happen?
They told me my vehicle went into production April 24th. I know they've been having trouble with the system not updating also. Is there a chance my MINI doesn't even exist as anything but paperwork and a VIN?

Anyone see the posting that the West Coast ports striking in protest to the Iraq war??? Imagine waiting all that time, and your MINI sitting there! (Hope this doesn't happen with the East coast too...but it has the potential to throw everything off schedule)

Your status is set at 'Scheduled for Production' when they create a production number and VIN. Right now it's taking about a 5 days for it to move from being scheduled to actually welding panels together which is 'body shop'. The automated system never tells you where in production it is, just that it's scheduled. My car spent one day in the body shop. One day in the paint shop. A day off. But it might have been two days off. I got conflicting info on the actual production day. Then one day for final assembly. One day to get it to Southampton.
Only took about 12 hours for him to get in trouble with the authorities . What can I say. BRG is faster.

I called tonight and was told that he completed assembly and quality check yesterday, and has been transferred to the carrier. Still not showing up on the WW site...guess I'll try again tomorrow and hope for good news! ;-) Hope he doesn't end up sitting on the docks too long, since I know he'll be surrounded by a bunch of rebel rousers. 
Guess I better get his name nailed down pretty soon...then again maybe I should see how he behaves on his first big trip to get a feel for his personality.

Problem here... for all past times that I have called ASK-MINI I have been using my cell phone (Verizon Wireless). Since this morning I have been trying to call and I all I get is silence. I can make calls to other people except MINI. Does any one else have this problem? And my house phone is all static. :( so i can't use that. I really need to have an update on my MINI.. it's like having MINI UPDATE WITHDRAWAL (MUWD)

I checked earlier (around dinnertime) and the ship schedule for the W&W ships is still the same:
The Patriot - Departing May 3, Arriving May 17 **Updated Departure-was May 1**
The Tasco - Departing May 9, Arriving May 21
I also found the Southampton Port Webcam Here:

I also found on the same site, the schedules (under Live Information tab). The Patriot will be departing at 18:00 and we should be able to see our ship leave! (I sure hope we leave on time. If the ship leaves at night, my MINI will probably be at the pub!)

But MOST INTERESTING is this:
The Carribean Highway leave on the 4th at 16:00 DIRECT to Charleston! It's a different company but MINI might use them. I've read that while W&W is the primary carrier, they do use others. Off to go see what I can find out about this new ship! With a name like that, do you think they stock lots of rum?
