Haven't seen it up yet, so I figured I'd go ahead and get the ball rolling.

I put my order in for a CR/B Clubman S on 3/27, and found out yesterday that it's scheduled for PW 17!

I went through the same process back in 2006 with my R53...and it's just as addicting and frustrating and fun as I remember!

So come on...who else is out there, and what have you got on the way?

 

Well...a support group of one isn't much of a support group. Hard to believe there's no one else in PW 17. The PW 27 group I was in back in 2006 was brimming with folks.

If anyone else drops in, here's my timeline so far:

• Ordered from Mini of San Antonio on 3/27
• Received Production # on 3/27
• Learned I was in PW 17 on 3/31

Probably still too soon to get an update, but my R53 and several others in PW 27 ended up being built early, so who knows?

I didnt want you to be lonely out here all by yourself-I am also scheduled for Week 17 production...my MA phoned to say that the status of my car has been changed today to reflect a 4/22 production date.

I need to work on my signature but I have ordered a Clubman S; SS/Blk; Black Lounge Leather; all packages except NAV; 17" Webspokes; Chromeline in and out; piano black interior surfaces; Sirius

 

Outstanding! Guess it may be time to resume bugging my MA and ASK-MINI on a daily basis!

Aside from color, I don't think our Clubbies are that different! Here are the specs on mine:

• CR/B w/ bonnet stripes
• All packages
• Automatic (wife mandate)
• Black Lounge Leather
• Rooster Red/Piano Black Trim
• Anthracite Headliner
• Chromeline Int.
• 17" Webspokes

 

Yes, they do seem very much alike except for the color...which, BTW, I go back and forth on just about every day. Still hanging on to with the Sparkling Silver though...I wish it would just get built already and I wouldnt think about it any more.

Good thing my MA knows whats going on as the OL and Askmini lines are pretty worthless.

 

Talked to a rep at ASK-MINI yesterday evening and lo and behold...

My Clubbie started production on SUNDAY!

Now I get to find out if the changes I sent in late last week made it or not...

Just got my production date of 4/24! Exciting!

Hopefully I can keep busy the next few weeks while I wait. Waiting is pure evil. I find myself drooling on every MINI window of every MINI I see in every parking lot. My friends are going crazy because I point out every MINI on the road. I'm even second guessing color and option choices based on the last MINI I see, then change again with the next one.

Today at lunch I saw a sweet LB/B MCS... so purdy!

 

My MINI is in production this week too! It should be completed on 4/25. I ordered an AB MC with Tuscan Beige Interior. I feel like I have been waiting so long (I ordered on 04/01/08) that I too have been second guessing color and option choices every time I see another MINI!!

 

We (the wifey & I) ordered my baby last Friday (4/18) and production started on Monday. So they are really trying to get things done fast. Are there any other Week 17 proud parents out there?

Also I studied the cruise ship departure dates and it looks like a cruise ship seems to leave about every 5 days. So hopefully my (all our) baby (babies) will be on the dock waiting for what I think will be a departure on 4/28 or 4/29. Anyone hear what ship we're going to be on?

I checked the WW site and there are a couple of ships scheduled for that week (just next week) so hopefully we won't have to start a dockside party. Partying on the cruise ship is much more fun for our new babies.

 

got bumped from Week 19 to 17 ... just found out that my HC/S MC Clubman went into production yesterday 4/23

 

Similar to lurch70, I was Prod. Week 19 but found out my LB/S MINI Clubman went into production (or was born as they said) yesterday 4/23

 

Congrats to both of you! Cliffjumper got bumped ahead, too, so I'm in PW16 now.

Thanks to shipping schedules, though, I'm not sure it matters too much! Cliff's still sitting at the docks waiting for a ship. Looks like the next two are the Independence II (WW) and Emden (K-Line). The Independence II reaches Southampton on the 26th or so, and puts in at Charleston on May 11th. The Emden pulls up a few days later (the 29th?), but is scheduled to dock in Charleston on May 9th.

I know which one I'm hoping for...

 

You got one more from week 19 that got bumped to week 17. I found out today that my Clubbie was born on the 23rd.

I just called and they said I just got out of the body shop and we're on the way to the paint shop. I hope the BRG paint gets laid down perfectly so that I get an extra 11 HP instead of the normal 10 extra HP that BRG adds. WooHOO!

Just got a callback from my MA - my baby went into production yesterday morning (4/24), so I think that makes me production week 17! Woot... can't wait...

Now I'm going to have to come up with a name... yikes!

Do any of you know about how long it takes to get to the US from when the production is complete?

 

Depends on how long your baby sits at Southampton before catching a ship.

Typically, figure:

• A day to transfer from Oxford to Southampton
• 5-10 days waiting for ship
• 10-12 days crossing the Atlantic (I'm figuring yours will probably go to NYC)

So figure 2-3 weeks (plus time at the VDC, shipping to your dealer, final inspection, etc).

I think a good rule of thumb is to expect delivery about a month after your MINI clears the production process.

My 2006 MCS finished production on 7/9/06, and I took delivery on 8/5/06. My Clubman S finished production on April 20th, and I'm eying either 5/17 or 5/24 for final delivery. Granted, you may get yours sooner. I seem to recall the process moving faster in the northeast.

 

Hey Doogs.. thanks a bunch! I just received a "Birth Certificate" today in the mail from my MA.. I thought that was pretty cool. I'm not new to the MINI family but this will be my first time ordering a MINI and having it built.
The other day I called ASK-MINI and the guy only asked for my name and my production # but today some guy asked for my name, address, phone # and a lot more information. I thought it was weird.

 

I guess this is my new home...found out today that my MINI is in production and is scheduled to be completed on 5/2...woohoo!

 

I to am in week 17. Car was ordered 28 March, complete on 22 April, booked on Independence II on 23 April. This ship is headed to Charleston, SC. Can't wait form the car to get here. I ordered Laser Blue with Laser Blue roof Clubman S. Silver stripes and silver back. Chrome line in and out, premium, cold weather and convieniance. Mini USA told me 3.5 weeks from the time the boat leaves till the time I have it.
