and the clincher was the date on this article:

Our local MINI board had a kinda similar thing happen. Someone posted something from an auto mag they got - the April Issue showed up in Feb. A whole bunch of people got sucked into it.

That's great news! I called my MA today and left a message, hopefully I'll get a call back tomorrow with similar news. I think my MA was off today.

Texans: Congrats! You'll be terrorizing armadillo's in no time!

JEARL,

DO YOU LIKE YOUR ARMADILLO, FRIED OR BAR-B-QUED .

HOPE YOUR MA CALL YOU SOON, SO YOU CAN HAVE IT BEFORE THE WEEKEND. HAPPY MOTORING.

Actually, I prefer my armadillo DEEP FRIED...crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside!

I'm thinking my chances for weekend delivery is slim to none...in my delerium I was thinking that Bernard and I was on the same ship. Like being in the desert, I keep seeing hallucinations of my MINI in the distance!

Hey jearl, where'd you get your Mini? I see you're from Rochester, so I'm assuming White Plains?

I'm certain that a majority of the new MINIs that have come in have been delivered to around my area. I still have yet to see a Clubman, but maybe that will be up to ME to introduce 'em to this area. (As of yet, I've only seen them at the dealership)
I've seen 4 new MINIs in the past week that have replaced vehicles that blended in with everyone else. I can't help but almost break my neck just to get a look, and then see if they're Clubman.

Oh, has anyone else noticed that when anyone of us get the notice that they can schedule to come get their MINI, right before pickup there are promises of pictures...and then they drop off the face of the internet? I can't say it wont happen to all of us. We've all been impatiently waiting and the last thing we want to do is be on the internet when we could be motoring!

It's like a new baby, you can't stay away from them for a minute, then the picture start and won't stop.

Mini Me !!

Good morning everyone....

Probably shouldnt be on this page, but felt bad for Doogs, LOL.. This is my first time ever writing on a forum. My husband seems to be a pro at it. Anyways, I just ordered my first mini on 4.26.08. Unfortunately, I didnt get a production # until 10 days later. How sad is that???? But FINALLY, I got one. I have checked the website daily to see what is happening. WOW !! IT CAN BE ADDICTING. She seemed to be on order for ever, then went thru production, and now finally finished... she is sitting on the dock waiting for delivery. I ordered a white conv. with grey/black inter, 6 speed man/sport pkg/ 17" web wheels. I went a little basic only cuz my husband found his dream car.... a 67 Dodge Dart... "can you believe it"... so I gave him the money for that... but next time .........."I'M GOING FOR IT ALL". LOL... Considering the website doesnt really tell you much, I better follow you guys & call the dealership to see what's happening. For all I know, she might be unloading today...

Welcome Sami88! You should follow the 'How to Track Your MINI' thread in First Gear. Based on your info about ordering on the 26th, and not getting a production number for 10 days, I'd think you'd be in production week 20 possibly. MINI USA will be able to tell you a production week. Then check out the thread for your production week. Your prod week brothers & sisters will have pretty accurate information as to your baby's location.

Welcome to the insanity of the wait....

I just got my funding check from PenFed. So at a maximum, I'm financed at 4.25%. Time for Mini of Dallas to compete. I read where someone recently said BMW came thru with under 4% (3.95% I think it was). But hopefully Bimini and MINITrekkie are somewhere in Mississippi headed this way. Maybe we can pick our babies up on Thursday! That'd be really cool. (more likely the weekend tho)

Thanks MysticTurner

Thanks so much for responding to me. I'm just gonna have to learn this stuff. I did find out this morning that the baby is on the boat.... WOO HOO !! LOL.. so just need to track all that information. Even though it is frusterating at times, it's still exciting. For the most part... this has been a great pregnancy...

mysticturner - I just joined PenFed, applied for the loan, and was approved. I have faxed them my LES as proof of income and they said to allow a few hours for everything to be completed with that. Then I guess they'll mail the package to me (there isn't a local branch)...how long did it take for you to receive yours? I'm really hoping that it can get here with lightning speed! I haven't heard from my MA yet (and he's off today ), but I can't really pick it up before Friday anyway. I have all my fingers & toes crossed that I could somehow get the check by then!

Thanks for mentioning it, by the way...that's one heck of a rate! Much better than what the guy at Mini was quoting last week (the guy that took three calls to call me back ).

Thanks! I don't remember seeing any other Clubman out when I was there, but I didn't look up on the hill where they park their other cars. You'll love her from the first minute you step in though.

I used PenFed as well. My loan was approved at the end of the online loan application. Got the check in a couple of days. Pretty easy.

AWESOME! I had done some investigation into local credit unions earlier but didn't find any that had spectacular rates (Navy Federal had a good rate, but I don't work for Navy anymore since we got BRAC'd so I couldn't join them). Thanks for the feedback, mntcooper!

Well my MINI is set to unload, if it hasn't been unloaded yet. The TASCO arrived at port at 1:40 this afternoon.
My MA said that I should expect to pickup my MINI is about 5-7 days!

Applied Monday morning at around 10:00 CDT. Kept checking back online application status. Got approved status about 2:00 CDT. Check on my doorstep at 09:00 CDT this morning (Tuesday). Less than 24 hours. There's going to be some followup paperwork. Once you 'spend' the check it initiates the contract paperwork.

Mine was unloaded in NYC on 5/8 off the Fidelio and it still has yet to be processed (12 days and counting). My MA does not have any infomation as to why.
