I know your kidding it was 5 times just joking. My son said the same thing about maybe having a bad day and of course it was Monday. Then my husband I called him this morning he is on a business trip and like he said they will fix it. It is not like the vehicle is having mechanical issues, so he put it in perspective for me.

Gotta run I am almost late for work

Where is everybody to busy motoring I guess

I got a phone call today from Mini USA regarding my experience with the dealer and if I would recommend them to others. They welcomed me to the Mini family

Hi MJB, hope all turns out well for you. I just got the survey as well, I'm still hoping I get some goodies in the mail from MINI.

I haven't even gotten the survey. Maybe, they finally took me off the calling list, since I've been giving bad reviews to this dealership's service department since 2003.

I still haven't received a phone call from the dealer Not sure if I should call yet or not, I think I will wait because I don't want to p*** them off.

Mine will be going to the service department also UH OH!! I recommended the sales department but I explained to them (MINI USA) that so far that is all I have dealt with.

We broke 1000 miles yesterday. I guess we have been driving too much. 1000 miles in 16 days. Nah!

We are close to 700 and after we take it in to have the roof fixed it will probably close to 1000 or maybe even over. What is the break in period on mileage does anyone know?

factory says 1000 baby! Dealer on the other hand suggested 1500. What to do? I figure we will gradually work in more power from 1000 to 1500 just to be sure.

We had the best ride tonight we went like on a 3 hour ride almost 800 miles on my mini and we went out to dinner then on the way home it was such a curvy road it was awesome. Then we looked down this small incline and what did we see but a black momma bear and her two babies it was so cool we stopped and backed up and just watched then another vehicle came and turned down the road they were on and it scared them and they ran into the woods.

Went to my doctor's appointment this afternoon he found a small (very small) heart murmur. He told me nothing to be worried about so I am not and we will just watch it need to see him in 6 months.

We also used the sport button how cool!!!!

I'm right around 600, and will be spending a chunk of tomorrow driving in Kettle Moraine country, about an hour north of Milwaukee.

Beautiful countryside with lots of forest, and landforms made in the last Ice Age, when the glaciers retreated from this part of North America. Kettles are large dips in the ground, and moraines are long sinuous piles of glacial debris, now covered in earth. These and other forms make for lots of dips, hills, curves and smiles. Not great speeds (especially on weekends), but fabulous nonetheless.

I signed up for an autocross-style driver training May 31 in northern Illinois; its ad materials say they will safely help you learn the limits of your MINI. Sponsored by the Chicago Miata Club, and run by a veteran trainer. I'm excited, and NEED to have my 1200 miles done well before that. Planning an oil change, too, for my own peace of mind (there is a thread about this issue with lots of opinions, but I'm going to get at least one before 15,000 miles). Check out the event at:
http://www.autoxcooper.com/may_31_clinic.html

Happy motoring this weekend!

Here's my proof of last week's track event...

I emailed the service guy at the dealership this morning, so far no reply. I figure I contacted them last Saturday about the graphic so they should know when it is going to get there so they can schedule an appointment.

Wow! That's pretty cheap for the event, Alto. Have lots of fun, and let us know how it goes! I've never been into races or racing or race cars or... y'know, anything having to do with that. Of course, I'm likely to have my Texas citizenship taken away for not liking football either. But I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. Lol.

MJB: Try calling your MA, and telling him that you can't get the service dept to call you back. I know the two departments aren't related, but they work in the same building. He should be able to go over and call them back.

As I've said with my own experiences, I loved the sales dept. at San Antonio MINI this go around, but I've never really had a good experience with their service dept. They really are just two separate beasts.

Hi MJB, still motoring on . I just finished my break-in @ 1200 mi and can finally cut loose a little.

You've been pretty patient with your dealership, btw, hope everything turns out well!

Hi all,

I'm at about 1050; been busy putting miles on this week as we're leaving for CA tomorrow, and I need to have 1200 out of the way before I do my Car Control Clinic on the 31st. Should be no sweat now.

Had a nice window tint done last Monday, and today the same place did paint protection film on the front end and rear bumper. My baby already had a rock chip, too, but the fellow said he did a MINI yesterday that was "peppered" with rock chips already, and the car's brand new.

Still no resolution to my Comfort Bluetooth phone adapter dilemma. The MA basically told me the dealer "couldn't" do anything, suggested I call MINI. So I called MINIUSA and they said, "That is handled at the dealer level. We can't do anyhting for you." Talk about a runaround. I'm about ready to call a local TV station and sic their "consumer advocate" reporter on these bums.

Had a lovely couple of days here; now it's off to Napa, where it's been in the 90's. Yikes!
