I was supposed to be with you, but I got bumped up to week 8. My Clubman should be done by Friday, the 22. Did you call 1-866-ASK-MINI?

My MCSC is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, the 21st, so I'm right there with you!

Anyone start a Week 8 support group thread yet?

I haven't seen a week 8 support group thread, but we can just piggy back on with the week 9 support group.

Oh, I've heard of that. I'm going to be doing "MINIs on Top" of Mount Washington in June.

Now there is a Clubman I like - all black! Congrats on ordering such a nice-looking choice. I spent a long time changing my mind between PW/B, AB/AB, and LiB/B before finally ordering.

My MA says my build date *might* get bumped up a couple days, which would seem to put me in week 9 if it happens...but it says week 10 on my paperwork so thats probably what I'll be in. Waiting to get my production date, so I can do more waiting!

Either way, ours will be some of the newest MINIs at the Dragon this year. We had cabins there twice, got a lodge room this year.

That whole week before is going to be exciting because Im getting the black rims and new tires and have to get the windows tinted before the trip
we will have to meet up there cause we are going to be rockstars at the dragon this year hehehe :D

Especially you folks with Clubmans (Clubmen?) everyone will want to see the new models, we'll just look for the crowd of groupies to find you and Wednesday! Last year there was a planned hour and parking lot for a R56 showing, ~10 proud new owners showed up. Wonder if they will do that with the Clubman this year?

We're planning to go to Monte Carlo night, the Brewswap, the car show, and probably geocaching as well. And of course, driving on the Dragon. If something goes wrong and I can't bring my new mini, I may put stripes on my Subaru wagon and make it a counterfeit Clubman

Edit: oh yeah I called ASK MINI today and I'm still 'scheduled for production' but with no confirmed date.

Well, I ordered on 2/8, but I don't believe that the dealer submitted it until 2/11. Same as you?

The dealers are allocated generic slots. I'm not sure how many each gets, but there doesn't seem to be consistency. If you order from one dealer, they might be able to get you into week X, yet another might get you into week Y even if you place the orders at the same time.

The MA should have a listing of all the MINIs that'll be built for his/her dealership in a particular period. So, unless the next available slot is scheduled for production within a day of your order, it won't matter if your MA takes three days to put the changes in the system.

In other words, a MINI is going to be built for that dealer whether your order it or not. It'll have some random features on it. The MA will customize that MINI for you, and the production number becomes yours.

Am I making any sense?

I would estimate that you'd have it by the end of March pending smooth sailing.
