Future MINI Owner

Hello all! I'm new to both this forum and the mini obsession. I'm a 30yr old Mustang guy that's been converted due to gas prices and the desire for something different. I've always been intrigued by the Mini's and other Euro cars, but never this seriously. I've got the bug and it's only a matter of time now until I make the purchase, although the addition of the clubman only makes the decision harder...

I've been lurking in these forums for a while now trying to gather information to make an educated purchase. I've been very impressed so far and look forward to learning much more. With the arrival of the 08's, I'm sure to have plenty of questions about the turbo setup. I've dealt with superchargers many times, but never a turbo.

First question: What magazine do mini enthusiasts read?

Thanks!

Welcome to NAM! You have been assimilated.

Have you taken a test drive yet? If not, heigh thee down to the local dealer!

Currently, the best magazine to get is MC2. Lots of good Mini tech stuff, fun stuff, etc. Highly recommend it.

Hey, me too! I had an 03 cobra with the Kenne Bell blower, dynoed at 565hp. Was a blast to drive (even a little scary), but just impractical. Before that was an 89 with a 347 stroker. It's definitely time to switch gears and go European...and more economical!

I already have that addiction, owning a 1000cc sport bike, but to be able to take the twisties with speed in a car would be fantastic!

My cobra was my 8th mustang, loved them, but not a good daily driver for fuel milage. Then I had and 06 330i, that got me hooked on handling.
