And it is gorgeoussss! Delivered to me exactly one month after placing the order, pretty impressive. I had some worries about a couple of the items I chose (see my signature for specs) but in the end it really can't be anymore perfect. Just a little over 24 hours with it now and I already have over 200 miles on it (started off with 4) and even with some less then conservative driving I still have over half a tank left. I can only imagine what things will be like after the break in period. This car is seriously addictive, I simply CANNOT stop driving it. I know this post is pretty much useless without pics so I'll post the few I have thus far. More and definitely better quality ones to come!

freeland - It definitely is beautiful; the MINI USA configurator does the combination NO justice whatsoever! I'm absolutely in love with the Carbon Lounge Leather as (until I get my windows tinted) you can actually see the white piping from several feet away. It just makes the most gorgeous contrast against the black leather and also ties in quite well with the exterior. I'm gonna take a series of proper solo pictures either before sunset today or right after sunrise tomorrow so I'll be posting them soon.

gjhsu - Yea I'm quite impressed that my Otto's was able to get it to me so fast! Especially after quoting a 6-8 week delivery time and just seeing how long it takes even fellow East Coasters to get theirs...

minimarks - Thank you! I'm already having quite a blast so I can only imagine how it's going to get even better with time.

wolf617 - I really can't recommend that interior enough, it's beyond gorgeous. If your MINI is going though the New York / New Jersey VDC and you're not getting anything installed there, I'm sure it should blast right through.

Mini S Pilot - There seriously is no turning back now. I can't even imagine driving any other car and don't want to! I actually do check on it all throughout the day and night, it's so bad. I can't see it from my window (unfortunately) so I'm like always at my friend's window looking down on it to make sure no one has parked even remotely close enough to ding it. I see you got yours exactly a month after it began production as well, so I guess I'm not the only lucky one.

Chris56S - Last, but FAR from least - thanks so much my fellow week 35'er! I know you'll driving yours VERY soon as well and I want to see pics immediately after delivery. SO worth the wait. I was actually tempted to get one off the showroom floor after my MA offered me a $1000 discount off it's MSRP (someone custom ordered it but unfortunately their financing fell through at the last minute - couldn't even imagine). But I'm so glad now that I stuck it out and ordered. Got EXACTLY what I wanted.

Thanks again to all of you - the compliments are really great! Here are a couple shots I took right before sunset today. Unfortunately it was a bit darker then I wanted so the pics are somewhat noisy... You can get a pretty good idea of the car though and I'll be taking some better ones during the day tomorrow.

Hahaha, I actually used the $35 gift certificate my MA gave me to get it. I'm pretty sure it's available at any MINI boutique, just 20 bucks.

Your MINI is so cool. Like you said, that piping on the Lounge Leather really pops!!! I don't think I've seen a picture on NAM that does it as much justice as yours. I'm soooo glad I ordered that too. I thought it was just an indulgence, but after seeing yours, I know I couldn't live w/o it.

 

Thank you!!! I didn't even realize it but looking at your signature now I see that our interiors are exactly the same - NICE. The piping really does stand out a lot more then I imagined it would. Walking up to the car from a distance you see it (the piping) A LOT sooner then you see the actual black leather; I love it! In other news just had my first gas fill up - exactly 40 bucks, not too bad. OBC is reading 425 miles to empty so I doubt there will be need to fill it again for awhile. These last three days with it have been insane... Started off with 4 miles now it has almost 400.

Very nice looking MINI!! It's so great to hear a new owner gush over their new car because being in love w/ your MINI is essentially what it's all about. From detailing, to modding, to waving, to MINI-meets, to just grinning all the time...it all starts w/ the love. I think most of us continue to be awed by these cars as the miles pile up...from the amazing way they perform "under stress", to the way they glisten in the evening light.
