One guy that bought his car at Schomp (Denver) was 8 days from arrival in CA to delivery in Denver. We can only hope...

 

Maybe get it on Halloween? Make it easy to remember the delivery date!

 

Hey Everyone!

I'm a "Week 39-er" too! I just checked online and it says my car is at the VDC!! YEA! I've been calling and checking online all weekend and it kept saying "En Route" on the website but when I would call, it would tell me that the car was "Awaiting Transport". I have an estimated delivery date of 10/21 and I know the online tracking is not the most current so I'm hoping I can take delivery somtime this coming week!

I've already got my new wheels and a bunch of other mods have been ordered and should be here sometime next week as well.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the wait is KILLING ME! LOL

 

Went to see mine this weekend.. enjoyed a spin around the lot just before closing.
Should be ready for Monday or Tuesday pickup!

Just found out from my MA that my car is in! Checked on Friday it was still 'in transit' and even now 866-MINI still says 'in transit.' I am so excited now! They are tinting the windows today and installing driving lamps tomorrow morning. I will have Mr. Bucket home tomorrow evening!

 

Just got off the phone with our MA and he said that there is a good chance that the car will arrive at the dealership later today or tomorrow morning and be ready to bring home this Wednesday! YEEEEAAAA!!

 

Back to this thread -- west coasters' just got unloaded this morning!

 

I talked to my MA and the car is there!!! SUPER YEA! They are putting the extra accessories I wanted on it today (CF hood scoop, boot handle, and mirror caps), getting all the financing paperwork written up, and having the car detailed so that he'll be ready for me to pick up tomorrow morning!

Expect lots of pictures later tomorrow!

Finally, after nine weeks of waiting,Picked up my MC last night She is awesome. I took some camera phone pics. which I'll post as soon as I know how. Thanks for everyone's help & support.

Speaking of which, has anyone else who just got off of Figaro tried to get a status of their car? Even though Pigwidgin was shown to be "discharged", OL is still showing enroute and ASK-MINI has gone backwards and instead of enroute is saying it "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel"!

The same thing happened with mine! The dealer has it now but online it says it's at the VDC and ASK-MINI went backwards and says that it's at the port awaiting a shipping vessel!

 

That makes me feel better, wetceal! I figured their system is confused, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear when I called ASK-MINI.

 

Ya.... don't depend on OL/ASK MINI on this side of the pond it seems to get really confused at times.

 

Estimated delivery at the dealer: 10/28! Can they get through their prep any faster, please.....?

 

If you check google for Oxnard and then check the fire maps, things down there are not exactly great right now. Hopefully the 85 employes at the VDC are not effected, and the
transport trucks have no route issues getting out of the area.
I was scheduled to leave about 2am this morning for a trip down to the LA area for a detailing of Skeeter, but have re-scheduled. Sections of I-5 I would travel have been closed on and off since yesterday.

 

Picked mine up last night from my MA! Totally in LOVE already with my new MINI! I had to drive an hour each way to my parent's house last night just so I had an excuse to drive the car for a while. I couldn't pull myself away from it. I cannot desribe the rush of excitement when I walked into the showroom and right there at the entrance, parked in front of the glass garage doors, was my car, in all its metallic black and white sleekness, pointed out and ready to MOTOR out on of there! I just stood there for a minute staring at it, in complete awe of how beautiful it is and how much fun it would be to get behind the wheel for the first time. Now that I have been driving it a few times I can already say that THIS CAR IS AWESOME!

Couple things I LOVE:

-The new black driving lamps look awesome against the black grill/body and the crome trim around the grill.
-I love the NAV system! The way it integrates the settings, radio, and NAV is fantastic
-Love the the wood shifter ****! I ordered the wood dash and my MA recommended the wood steering wheel as well. I did not know I would also get a wood shifter **** with the deal. It looks great!
-Astro Black color looks incredible!

 

Holy toledo! I looked at the fire maps and San Diego county is horrendous. I know Oxnard is north of there but yeah, hopefully the people who work at the VDC aren't affected (and I say that more out of concern for them rather than the car). Sorry you had to reschedule Skeeter's trip, Tharkun. :( The weather has been really weird which is probably helping those fires. Yesterday as I was driving home a temp display on a building near where I live (and is pretty accurate) said it was 85 degrees!

Edited to say that I just found the LA County fires and see the one in the way of I-5. Man. No wonder you couldn't drive down to LA.

Sounds like I made the right choices then? Although I decided against the wood steering wheel, as I'd prefer a soft surface for the long drives. Of course, now I remember that I'd meant to try and order the shifter **** separately.

I don't remember hearing about new black driving lamps- got pictures? Or did you go with the Hella Blacks?

@ Kathy- I saw 85° yesterday too (on the car thermometer), and I wondered if the thing was broken.

I heard weather reports that expected the wind to die down a bit in California. Hopefully things improve soon- from what I heard on NPR this morning, it sounds like the response to the fire and evacuations were well organized helping to keep people safe.

 

The black driving lamps just came out! I am the 2nd person from my MINI dealership to get them. My MA said they weren't supposed to be available until the Clubman launch, but the supplier delivered a shipment early and MINI released them for sale. I really like the way they look on the car and people are already complimenting them. They are not in the configurator yet but if you ask your MA they should be able to get them for you.

No pics yet but hopefully I can get some taken in the next couple days.

 

I definitely want to see those black driving lights too! I really want them but didn't want to pay the $$$ for them after everything else I put on the car. So having options down the road will be nice.

 

I just got home with my mini, i picked it up at 6

I was missing bottom door seals, so i made them order that. Got the Rubber MINI S mats included, two MINI key chains and a cap for my girlfriend.

i had no TPMS sensors on my Canadian mini, which is great. I was afraid i was going to get them just cause the the US spec needed it.
