According to the automated system, mine is in the paint shop and due to finish on 9/13. Should I call back and talk to a person or trust the info?

ASK MINI would not explain what determines if you get on WW or K-Line but I've recently noticed an increase in K-Line ships for east coast VDC's (NY/SC) by reading other threads. Seems WW is the exclusive west coast ship.

 

ASK MINI seems to know less about shipping than us here on NAM.
WW has the most RO/RO ships of any company so they are used the most, once in a while other ships do make the tek to Port Hueneme. K-line seems to be second after WW for the most common carrier, would help if they would provide online tracking as well.

 

Called Ask Mini, the automated system said the car is completed on Sept 11th and waiting for shipment or something like that. As for the leather seats option the lady at ask mini couldn't get a confirmation on that and suggest me call the dealer about it. Anyway, I guess I can just wait and hope he can get a ride on Sept 14th?

How can we find out if our cars are in a K-Line Ship or in a WW Ship?

 

You can't track auto cargo on K-Line so unless WW shows your VIN onboard you really can't determine which carrier you are on. Your MA will be able to tell you once the OL shows "en route" though.

 

My mistake - checked the OL and it states "waiting for transport" I will call my MA again on Friday - by then it will either have its sea legs or crying on the dock,lol

 

The next vessel on schedule from Southhampton to Port Hueneme is the Tasco which departs on 9/17. Hopefully you get on there.

 

Finally got an update... On it's way to the dock! Finished production yesterday.

I talked to my MA yesterday and she told me that it *could* take up to 10 days to get on a boat. Let's hope not!!!!!
