All aboard the PATRIOT!!!

Looks like we made it on the Patriot! Fresh off the assembly line on Thursday and brought to port and loaded for Saturday. It shows that there are 312 other MINIs on the ship!

Now on to the long voyage. It looks like the callsign for the patriot is WQVY.

So who else made it on the Patriot?

KevinV,
Thanks for the info!

My VIN is in the list. It has an asterisk beside of it. Anyone know what the asterisk signifies? I noticed that a good number of the VINs had an asterisk.

The status of mine was that it was received at the terminal. Did not indicate that it was on the ship yet.

Holy. Cow. I made it too. wooooohhoooooo!! I just assumed I was probably not going to make it onto the Patriot, and hadn't checked yet. Thanks for the heads-up, Kevin.

Falsten, what is the date yours was "received at terminal"? If it was yesterday, give it one more day. For my MINI, there was a day's difference from being received, and actually going aboard.

I just checked the port of charleston site. The Patriot is due in 16 September, so I guess it won't sail for a week or more?

I believe it was 8/29 received at the port. I did some looking around and the asterisk indicates that my MCS is "waitlisted". I did some additional checking on the WW site, and at this time, I'd say it didn't make the ship for some reason, even though it arrived earlier than others. They probably dropped another car on it and now need to repair some "minor" damage. Maybe it will update tomorrow. I'll try and check it then.

^ That sucks, FALSTEN. There's got to be some sort of logic to which cars go on which ship, but from here it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense!

Very weird as my VIN isn't on that PDF but in checking the WW site today to see if my MINI was already booked for the Aida (departs 9/4) it actually says that my baby was booked and arrived at the port on 8/31 and was loaded onto the vessel yesterday afternoon!!! I didn't think they'd load anymore vehicles after early morning on the day of departure but apparently they do

This is encouraging! Any chance you can post the Booking Number associated with your VIN? I am hoping it is different than the one in the PDF and shows NY as the destination. I am waiting for a MCS SS/W on roughly the same build schedule as yours!

And so at least some of our MINIs have begun their lives, starting with an exotic ocean cruise. Right now, they're all enjoying the scent of the ocean air, with a Piña Colada in their cupholders.

Already answered this in the PM but just in case anyone else is in the same boat as hazmat, my booking number is GBSOU550794. Anyone know if the ship has sailed yet? I can't figure out how to find this info on the WW site.

Use the lnik below and under "Schedule Options" click on "Vessel" then enter Patriot it will show the ships schedule. Yes Patriot left Southhampton on 9/1.

Ohhh okay yea I saw the schedule but figured there would be something on the site which actually shows the vessel as departed or what not... No?

When a port destionation chages to "red" that informs you that the ship has left port. So the sigt only updates for departures, not arrivials.

If you check the WW site you can see the schedule for Patriot, she departed Southampton on 9/1 and is scheduled to arrive Charleston on 9/15.

If you check the WW site and search by booking using the booking number members have listed here and your VIN number does not appear on it....then your Mini did not board. The booking pages updates as each Mini is boarded, and once the ship departs, the booking page will not update again till at the destination port(s), then it will show Mini's off loaded.

They can load Mini's as late as the last or hour or so before departure.

Gotcha, well that's quite nice of you. Is there a site that I could use to track it myself or is it an incredibly technical ordeal?
THANKS and sorry for all the questions, I'm overly anxious..

Looks like Patriot does use the AIS weather reporting system, last date was 8/29. Since she just departed yesterday could be a bit before she shows up, if the Captain uses the system again you will be able to track her. Use the link below to the saulwx.info site.

Click on the "SHIP TRACKER" tab, on the pull down menu click on "SHIP TRAFFIC WORLDWIDE" then enter the call sign "WQVY" If the captain leaves the AIS system active, you can track daily. If not and he only uses it randomlyy. you will only see updates then.

Sounds good; this will definitely make the 8 days go by just a bit faster. Thanks so much!!!
