Well, it tooks us a while.... we've lost some people, and gained one..... but our thread is alive. Not many make it this far.

Nice to hear from you MiniCounter! I knew you'd be busy at this time of year. Hope it all goes smoothly through the rest of the season and you come out the other end intact.

I got the BSH catch can with the boost port attachment. I have not done the install yet. I need to pick up some bolts and self locking nuts to attach the bracket to the firewall. If you don't have the factory alarm, the install is much easier. From what I am reading here and elsewhere it seems like a no-brainer to do. It is something the factory should do with all Direct Injection engines. I have not thrown a CEL, but I'm sure my valves are all "coked" up. I'll try Seafoam treatments after install and then regularly after that.

Autocross Event #2 is behind me. Finished 7/11. Used my all-season tires due to the rain, but it dried out during my runs. No excuses... I just am not that good. It's a game where hundredths of seconds and a few less feet really count.

My wife bought me entry into Stage 1 Evolution Driving School class for my birthday. I am looking forward to that and loving my wife for it. I sure don't feel like 60. I expected to feel grown up by now.

Be safe everyone.

Glad to see the old thread brought back to life.

A track day would be nice, but autocross is probably my long-term thrill with my MINI.
Over the past year I have installed brakes/rotors (maintenance), bump stops and a rear sway bar. The car now has a neutral feel with much less understeer.

Handiman business is going well. I actually have had to turn down some work lately. I MUST have some free time to play disc golf each week.

Motor on everyone.

Hi fellow Tagusites! (Just made that up...)

Life gets busy, and I had no idea it was such a long time ago I logged in! Glad to see people are still getting together, autocross is happening, and mods

Scoop just had her coolant and fluids flushed and replaced, and we installed a hood liner to protect the (3rd!!) chrome bonnet scoop. So far so good.

Had a lovely MINI day with the So Cal group... BBQ at a local dealership and then a long caravan (maybe 60 or so MINIs) to a drive-in movie...'50's Hawaiian theme architecture. A classic! Still loving my car, and proud she's finally over 10,000. I will be that 80-year-old lady YEARS from now driving the classic 07 in Pepper White!

Happy late summer, all!

She LIVES! Good to hear from you Scoopmama. Glad to hear that Scoop actually gets out on the road sometimes. I really don't can't talk that much. Frodo is just now approaching 50K. It is amazing how little I drive him now that I no longer am driving to school each day. My truck is the one that is getting the mileage ~ 160K.

Continuing to autocross. Love the adrenaline rush driving my MINI at it's limits. No, that's not quite right. I love the rush of driving my MINI at my limits. The car is capable of more than I can squeeze out of it.

Nice picture of Greece. I got off the mainland this year. My first trip to Hawaii. About every third car is a 2013 Mustang convertible. I think the rental companies breed them on the islands.

Take care!
