Minicounter...as far as I know it's an All-Day Event, so we are getting there as early as Ann says too,. She e-mailed me today asking if "WE" wanted to Go FAST or Normal...Duh...that's a No-Brainer!!

So...the Code(s) Molly displayed had to do with the Pre-CAT and Post-CAT O2 Sensors, the other just happened on Wednesday, the Day Molly was scheduled for her Track Day Safety Inspection, they took care of that, they R&R'd the O2 Sensor, fixed a Dent in the Driver's Door that I didn't know about until I saw it with my own @Y@s!! Still couldn't find/fix the Rattle in the Passenger Compartment behind the Driver, it's going to drive me NUTS on Saturday as we have a PDX MINI Club Run up to the Astoria Maritime Museum. I won't be able to hang out in Astoria, we have a prior commitment and Robert was supposed to go on this Run (his 1st) but those plans have fallen though too. Oh well, ME & Molly on our 2nd Solo Club Run!!

Have a Great Weekend...see you all on Thursday!!

I'm shooting for the AM track time. I was going to need to leave a bit early anyway. I am really looking forward to going FAST on the track.

SOLO Event 6 & 7 this weekend in Packwood, WA. Through the magic of the points leader being a "no-show" for the last 2 events.... I'm currently 2nd, only one point behind the leader. Now, if the points leader shows up this weekend.... I'm sure I'll be put in my place!

My son is coming up and going to co-drive the car. This will be his first competion. He loved the SOLO II driving school last spring.

It looks like they will be taking us out in groups... what about seeing if we can be placed together? Looks like I will not have a passenger. I'm sure we all responded slow... NOT!
Maybe the first of us to get there can reserve for us... I can email Ann and ask her if this could be done.

WoooHooo!! Minicounter that's sounds like a MINIabulous idea!! We (Hubby and I) will get there at 7 as well, if you can get us grouped together that would be great!! See you both at the Track!!

I have a New San Diego transplant Friend (minicooperwill) who was Navigator for me on the PDX MINI Club Run yesterday, we had a blast, sad we could not stay for Pizza and the Astoria Maritime Museum, but I had prior committments.

Cool weather, but a great two days of autocrossing and camping. I fell into 4th with a solid thump, but still had FUN! My son had a great time too and may want to co-drive the MINI next season. Only one more weekend (2 events) in mid-September. Then a 6 month wait until next season.

Can't wait until the track event Thursday. I will shoot for a 7AM arrival. All I need to do is rotate my tires. I've gotten that down to about a 20 min procedure.

It will be nice to see all my MINI friends again. It's been a while!

I am going to PM you both with my cell phone number. I will be coming up from Woodburn that AM. Not used to the big city traffic but am going to try to make it around 7.
Please prepare your kids to not make fun of her cuz I think she'll still be sporting one black eye and a few other pieces missing She'll be happy to be out to play though...

1 more day!! Can't wait to be out on that track.
Ann says the line-up will start at 6:30 ! Well, I guess I'd better be there pretty close to that.
Was there any answer to being in the same run group? There could be an advantage to being separated.... pictures! I'll bring my camera.
See you guys there.

No answer on the group - but that is a very good point! Having pictures would be awsome. I would think that being in the same part of the day for the road trip would be fun.

Are you guys bringing radios? I am bringing one that I use for our runs down here...
I hope to get there in time.. I have the bluetooth ready will call if I get there first. If that part doesn't work out... Will be fun anyway...

Looks like the rest of the car won't be put back together so... Please no snickers from Molly and Fodo!

Uggghhh...I'm NOT working tomorrow so how come I have to get up EARLIER than a Normal Work Day!! 6:30am it is...see you there.

Minicounter on a side note, the Traffic coming up from Woodburn will be much better the earlier you can get on the road, both N and S I-5 will be a mess if you try and come up 7ish. Let us know if you need anything on your journey.

See you at Track Day!!

WOW!!! The track time was a rush. I could get addicted to that, and will do everything possible to avoid it.

Good seeing RJ and Minicounter!

Princess BlueBelle strikes again!

If any of you are in the Rasmussen area - say hi to the little car for me

She really threw a fit this time... Started with some coughs I attributed to the classic carbon build up problem. By the time she got into the hospital she was running on 3 cylinders and turned out she broke a piston!

I'm thankful for the extended warranty as she now has 63k on her... Looks like it will be a heart transplant (new engine). What a way to spend her birthday .

Hope you're all doing well and that you old ones had nice birthday parties.

Ok, WHERE is this year going? I can't believe the last time I was on was in July. But it was cloudy then. It is again today, and I think I home in on WA and OR with the sky!

Went in early Sept to get yet another bonnet scoop (#3) and realized my warrenty was up in 2 days. Luckily Irvine MINI got me in that morning, and I was headed for home 1 1/2 hours later.

So what have I missed? Track events (FUN!) and major MINI damage! That was so sad to see! I'm so sorry. Hope B is doing better!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Gosh it was nice to see that email notification in my inbox again!

Yep - life is building toward Christmas and the end of the year already ... again. BlueBelle and I have had a challenging year but we are moving ahead much stronger now!

About 1k on the new engine and almost all the body parts put back together now (mirror motor still not working after deer hit). Looking to road trip to Sacramento area for an early Thanksgiving with some of the kids so that should be a good test to see if I get a return of some of the pesky CEL's.

Hope everyone is doing well and motoring though weather changes!

Nice to see a few of us back online in the old thread again. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. My son and his wife are coming down from Seattle for the holiday. It will be nice to see them... and to re-live his two autocross experiences again. (novice school and first competition) Wish he were in the same town.

The MINI is doing great. Work doesn't allow me to make it the daily driver, but when we get out on the evenings and weekends we have FUN!

Hope all is well with everyone and my fingers are crossed that Bluebell is going to have a smooth ride south for the holiday.

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR MINI friends!
Wow is it cold here. Maybe some freezing rain as it gets warmer this week.

Great holiday season. Kids back to school, wife back to work, time to relax before the new jobs come a calling.... Got a GoPro camera for Christmas to take movies of autocrossing to bore friends with. Only 4 months to go. Can't wait.

Been wondering about Bluebell. How did her transplant surgery go?
Scoopmama, the long meaty part of the school year is upon you. Good luck with it.
RJ, any interest in Autocross school? Not as fast as the track, but lots more twisties!

Hope the new year treats you and your MINIs well.

And a Happy 2011 back at ya!!

Hey - great to hear from the old Targus thread again! I haven't been on for so long I actually had to log in and try to remember my password

Glad to hear you're still getting good MINI gifts Mini2na. I think I need to invest in a good helmet. I'm still considering going down to Thunderhill in February for the track day...

My little princess is doing OK with her new heart... she still coughs a little from time-to time. I went ahead and got the AP from ALTA and have used it a lot to clear the CEL's after putting the CAI back on. I haven't tried all the Maps that ALTA put up yet so maybe I can get the codes from coming up.
Getting ready to head to Seattle next week - hope we don't get any more snow...

I've been looking into the autosock snow things but they don't have the size that fits my tires here in the US yet . I don't really want to spend the big bucks on the spike spiders when I don't need it that much...

If I just spent the money I put into the accessories for this little car on the payments I'm sure I'd have her paid off many times over by now

Oh well - Motor On!!

Hi All!

Happy Belated Groundhog's Day or early St. Patrick's Day...

It's warming up here in So Cal, but we had a neat winter. Snowfall down to 1500 ft (we had flakes!), clear skies, cold weather. Loved it!

Polished up Scoop and took her to the opening for the Mini Countryman. I got to test drive it and was surprised I liked it. I think it looks much better in person than in the photos. It definitely handled like a MINI should! Then got back in my own, wonderful CooperS and went home.

All is well here in So Cal!
Just checking in

It is nice to hear from you Scoopmama! It sure isn't time to polish up any car in the Northwest yet. Nasty weather still, but daylight savings is helping a bit with the evening light.

Autocross has begun. I went to the practice day and Event #1. It is an extremely large field in the Street Tire Class. Last year there were maybe 6 or 7 and this year we had 11. Some pretty hot drivers/cars have entered the class. I finished 6/11 and felt pretty good about it. It is going to be hard to EVER beat the Evo, Corvette and Miata though. Still having fun!!

Frodo news.... My scoop melted and I got a Carbon Fiber replacement! I am also adding an oil catch can to stop the build-up of gunk on the back side of the valves. I've heard that all "S" owners should add one.

Still loving my MINI.

Hope all is well with the rest of the group!

Deep in tax season here. Best part of the day is the commute!! Last couple nights BlueBelle has chased a black bear down the road about a half mile from the house! She sure knows how to attract the varmits... hopefully not too close this time.
MINI2NA will be interested to know more about your catch can. Which one did you get? I put the CAI back on the little car and have to clear the CEL about once a week. I am having some intermittent hesitations from time-to-time and some of the codes I get I don't think are related to the CAI. When tax season is over I hope to look into it a bit more.
I hope things are going well for everyone... spring is coming!!
