Just a well wish to all original Tagusites that got their babies delivered a little over 2 years ago........It seems as if it were just yesterday - but I feel like I have enjoyed MINI companionship forever. Happy anniversaries!

Thanks Kimberely. I knew our anniversary dates were coming up. Happy anniversary everyone!!

I just did a full detail on Frodo today. Dawn wash, clay, Finish with the DA, Black WOW then Epic wax. He's not much worse for wear after two years and 20K miles. A couple of rock dings high on the bonnet and one on the leading edge of the roof. I think I'm responsible for a couple of small scratches near the boot when removing things.

Went to the last SOLO II autocross last weekend in Packwood. Frodo did the best he could with me piloting. What am I going to do for 6 months until the next season starts???? Going fast around corners is addicting.

Frodo is hinting for a chrome line interior retrofit. I'd love to retrofit the driver's seat with a lumbar support. We'll see which one is sprung for first.

Happy Anniversary Tagus Buddies!!

Molly has had yet another issue with the Driver's Side Window, she will be going in on Friday for a Fix, maybe, exactly one week after the Window quit working it started working again. Hubby is willing to take her in even if they don't do anything.

Next month (19th) will be our 1 1/2yr. Anniversary, Molly will be adorned with a New Set of Shoes (Bridgesonte Potenza G019 Grid's). She'll have a check up including an Oil Change, New Wipers, and a New Microfilter.

FYI - Mini2na we may be calling on you for a bid on Trim Molding and Interior Door R&R. If we can get an acceptable price on Carpet Installation we may be the carpet in the whole house (-Family Room).

Hi Tagusits

Took me a while to catch up... sounds like you all had a busy and fun summer. Scoopmama - glad you got a chance to spend time in Bandon... definatly one of my favorite spots.

We had a trip to Vegas and got to see the kids in their new house near Sacramento. A MINI group trip or two.... Seattle... etc.

But I'm afraid I have some very sad news to share... There is one less MINI lover in this world - my dear hubby passed away recently after another couragous month-long battle in ICU. I am still mostly in the numb phase but it's hard to think of a trip in the little car without him. I do need to take BlueBelle up soon as she will be at 50k shortly and needs another service.

I'll just say... give someone an extra hug today.

I am sorry for your loss MiniCounter. He was a nice man.

It seems that it is quite the dark autumn. My cousin passed just two weeks ago from the flu. He was younger than I, so it was a surprise.

Hugs to all.

Sorry for YOUR loss... during the last 2 weeks of Terrys stay in ICU I was shocked at the number of young people who were critically ill from this flu. I understand this is one case where it is better to be healty and somewhat of an old duffer...

Yeah. I am going to get my flu shot next chance I get. You always hear of people in past ages dying of flu by the millions, but it is quite a wake up these days to have people die of it. Scary.

Ona different note, Bluebelle is near 50K? Wow! I am only at 33K, but I just got the extended maintenance warranty so the mileage doesn't worry me as much. I do put on about 250 - 300 miles a week though. Gotta keep Kermie healthy.

Minicounter and Kimberley I'm so so sorry for your losses. Hugs to you both. ((((HUGS))))

I just learned last night that my Husband is in the High Risk Group for the Swine Flu Shot due to Diabetes. Hopefully he can get it next week when he sees his Dr. I waiting patiently waiting to get mine, we have a clinic that comes to my workplace, but the schedule has been switched quite a bit due to the shortage I'm sure.

Molly's been visiting Rasmussen quite a bit this last month, on Oct. 19th it was for her 1.5yr. Anniversary Maintenance Trip and she had 21,762 miles on her, she got New Tires, and Oil Change and other needed stuff. Next visit was the 20th, I thought that they had left off a Wheel Weight, but it turns out that the wheel was balance and no weight was needed. They also attempted to fix a rattle, but in the mean time scratched up the Scoop Trim on the Passenger Trim. So an attempt was made on Nov. 11th, but alas the attempt was not going to work, so a new Scoop Trim piece is on order, due next week. She had thrown another Transmission Code (Cog Symbol), so that was fixed, and another once over with Fluid Top Offs and such. We're probably closer to 23,000 miles now, she's still my Pride & Joy. During these cold months she'll be the Garage Queen on the Weekends, we'll run our errands in the Durango so we don't have to park in BFE and hike in the cold to the store!!

RJ - I hope your hubby gets both flu shots. Mine usually got the regular one as he was diabetic for 53 years and very high risk. Terrible desease - I hope your husband is doing ok with it.

Yes - BlueBelle has seen some territory... I did get the 100k warranty since she had problems to start but I am having them look at the clearcoat where it has been damaged and a few other things that wouldn't be covered by the extended warranty.

Hi everyone.
MiniCounter, so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad I got to meet your husband a couple of times. He was a good man.
Kimberely, it is always shocking to learn of a loss of someone so young.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Frodo turned over 20K last month. Since starting my handyman business I drive my truck most of the time. It is the weekend when I get to do the errands in the MINI and get that exercise of walking in the rain from the far reaches of the parking lot. I have somehow avoided any door dings!

I am suffering from autocross withdrawl. Can't wait until spring to start up again. My wife bought me a helmet for Christmas. I got fitted this weekend, but she won't let me wear it yet....

Another Happy Thanksgiving message (and echoing what he said)!

As difficult as the last couple months have been it has emphasised the value of good friends and family.

Also thankful for the email this AM that my black door handle covers are on there way from Aesthetic Creations Ordered sometime in the summer but I'm sure they are going to be worth the wait...

Just keeping relevant! My MINI nears his $36K mark end of maint. warranty, but I just purchased the longer one.

Colder than a witches $#@%! in the NW tonight. More freezing temps to continue for the next several days, and not a smidgen of snow!!! Bummer. I hope all is going well for all - especially minicounter. Warmest of holiday wishes to all!! (Warmest being the key word here!!!)

We're getting ready to take off for AZ for the holidays to see the wife's parents. This will be the first time away from home for the holidays in years. It has compressed time here at home trying to get everything done and ready.

Since you have to PAY to take bags on our chosen airline we opened presents today. I think Frodo got more stuff than me this year. Well, I guess it was stuff for both of us. We got:
* An full-face autocross helmet - no more borrowing one each run!
* Boot Stripes - to match the factory stripes on the bonnet.
* Xenon Color Match LED Parking/City Lights - no more "yellowish" lights up front (except for the fogs.... they're next, but I rarely have to use them)
* "EJECT" or "PANIC" sticker for the glove box button - It also came with COFFEE, DO NOT PRESS and SELF DESTRUCT

Here's wishing all of you the happiest of holidays!

Well, it's been a while since I've checked in. Kimberley and Minicounter, I am so, so sorry to hear of your losses. Please accept all my sympathy and a long-distance hug. (I've been told I give great hugs, and I'm sending you a huge, all-encompassing one!). Hang in there during the holidays, and keep an eye out for the blessings that ARE there in your lives.

3 days into Christmas vacation and I'm feeling almost ready... that's a first! Think I'll take the family for a drive with popcorn to look at the lights tonight. I'd say it's cold, but only someone from CA or AZ would agree... none of you would, and I'd be laughed at, mocked, and ridiculed!

Have a wonderful vacation in AZ, Mini2Na, and Merry Christmas to my Tagus (by birth, adoption, etc) buddies!

BTW- Scoop has 6800 miles (the little princess!)

Oh, we are here. And today looks like the NorthWest will have some respite from the dreary rain. Of course, we cannot enjoy it too much as it is also Super Bowl. Go Colts!!!!!

Happy Valentines Day, Tagus buddies! Scoop is getting UK side scuttles...she's SO excited!

Tomorrow we're going out to a little place in a local canyon with the best outdoor patio ever... oak trees that are bigger than most homes are all over the place AND they have killer Margaritas (they need the capital M!) Should be in the high 70s tomorrow. Ahhhh.

Sounds like Molly is getting all fancied up! Can't wait to see pics!

YES, Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Frodo is getting all fancied up too.

I put in a BASS600 self contained sub in the boot. It sure does round out the whimpy sound of the stereo in the MINI. It was a good $70 investment. Not too hard to put in either.

The LED parking/city lights look GREAT! I can't believe the improvement of the front lighting look with them. It is another low-cost improvement that I recommend.

I'm waiting for warmer weather for the stripes and Eject sticker. Tires will have to follow sometime this summer. I'm nearing the wear bars.

I still LOVE MY MINI!! (The Autocross season starts in late March... can't wait!)

The Tagus Clan seems to be hybernating??!!

I've had a very interesting Month and a Half, beginning Feb. 5th, I went and saw a Cardiologist due to a Passing Out episode while at Dinner w/Hubby. I already knew I had a Damaged Valve (thought is was a Mitral Valve, turns out to be an Aortic Valve). I'm now scheduled for Surgery on Wednesday, March 24th. It is not Heart Surgery since they are not opening up my chest, but it will be just as involved and dangerous, I will be in the Hospital 5-7 Days, and recouperating at home for 6-8 Weeks. I'm having part of my Aorta Artery replaced with a Graft.

I of course won't be able to Detail Molly during that time so Mini2na I might enlist your help if you are available.

Keep me in your Thoughts Tagus Buddies and I'll let you know when I'm back at home!!

I will Mini2na...I can't imagine not being able to give Molly a bath, I won't be able to drive her either. I'm sure you will be hearing from me, I've not given her her Spring Detail yet and now I won't be able to do it myself.

Thanks Kimberely...I'll keep you updated after I get home and can get on my Laptop...not sure what my restrictions will be at the moment. I do know I will have to be 'very' mobile...Hubby can't wait on me Hand & Foot any longer??!!
