Hi all!
My name is Adam. I'm from Jefferson City, MO and I have a 2006 Cooper in pure silver. His name is Norton. He's named after our state grape, which we use to produce some fabulous wine. I just picked him up new from MINI of St. Louis last weekend. He's one of the very last of the new '06 models.
Interesting bit of information, I hydroplaned on the way to the dealership and crashed my trade-in. I was on the interstate in fairly high traffic. Amazingly, I did not hit anyone and came out of it with very minor injuries. I drove the silver beauty home.
Good to be alive and motoring!!!

I realize it's not something we're known for nationally, but we really do produce some decent wines, especially the Norton and the Port from the Norton. The greatest part about our wineries are the curvy country roads that they are generally located on, though. We're making our first trip to one in the new MINI this Saturday. Can't wait!!!
Welcome Adam! Too bad you crashed your trade in...
I too am looking forward to some motoring through the Missouri wine country (once I get my MINI). Can't wait! We already have trips planned and everything.
Those roads will be the best for that!

Isn't that what the French thought about California wines many years ago?

BTW: Welcome Adam! If you make it SE Missouri, let us know and we'll meet you at some of our curvy roads and wineries.

Welcome Adam
It appears you and Norton will have fun in MO. I drive around in the Springfield, Ava and Branson areas when I visit some of my family. Some really great roads in the area. I did notice a little winery out on E60 before you get to the 5 South turnoff. I will have to give it a try.
Perhaps next run out to MO, I will take my MINI instead of one of the jeeps.
Enjoy your 06 MINI, it might be a collector item in about 40 years, but don't keep the miles off or keep it in your garage, drive and enjoy.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
Amazingly, the dealer still took my trade. I think they felt sorry for me because I had to drive so far, and this was my second visit. Anyway, I was completely blown away by the staff there.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully meeting up with some fellow MINI fanatics, especially those of you from Missouri.
