Made a scuff "plate" out of Plasti-Dip.

Turned out great, got some real world use this weekend with fishing gear and coolers.

Did one on my R53 last year, and it's held up great. It's actually filthy here, but still cleans up nice. Excuse the vacation packing.

One word about the R55 emblems. My OCD was in high gear and I had to slightly "realign" the emblems so they lined up better. It was easy to do with blue 3M tape. They also tarnished slightly after this past winters horrible snow/ice/road salt event. I was able to polish them back up with some Blue Magic Metal polish - other than that, they are fine.. for the $10 I don't feel bad. the "S" is from the "Cooper S" logo. I did not move the "S".

Out of curiosity, how was the Cooper S logo attached? Were there holes in the panel? If so, what treatment did you use to cover them up?

No holes, the emblems are held on with an adhesive tape.

Wash car to remove grit.
Heat gun to warm up emblems.
Use fishing line to go behind emblems "saw" off adhesive.
Clean up with Goo- Gone on a microfiber towel.
Wash/ clay surface.
Wipe surface with alcohol.
Stick-em on!
