New MCS Owner

Hi Folks,

I've been lurking around this forum since I ordered my MCS back in May 2014 and finally decided to join as a member. No need to rush into things right. I was one of the unfortunate folks that got tied up in the EPA fiasco of last year and eventhough my car made it to Canada in July 2014, I wasn't able to take ownership until October 2014. It was a very long wait and I was to the point that I almost gave up and bought a 2015 VW GTI instead. To be honest, I'm glad I stuck with the MCS because it puts a smile on my face every day. Anyway, looking forward to becoming a more active member of the group.

Cheers,
KRR709

I haven't had a chance to detail the inside yet so not pictures of that but this is the outside of my little bulldog.

Congrats and thanks for the pic. The red and black, great combo. Only thing I would have added is LED headlights, those things are bright.

Yeah that was a hard call. The style of the led's made the car look like it was surprised all the time in my opinion. But I agree the tech is vey cool. Hopefully there will be an aftermarket upgrade that I can do at some point. But for now I'm okay with the halogen's.

I have retrofit hid into halogen housings. If you are willing to try and dismantle factory housings, try and find hid's out of a gen 2. There are also a couple of aftermarket retro fit companys that have hid kits for most cars.

If a direct replacement kit doesn't show up I may get the nerve to mess with the housing but for one I'll probably stick with what I have. I'd rather not be that guy blinding oncoming cars with a set of hid's in the halogen housing. ;-)

[IMG][/IMG]I understand fully. I respect that you don't want to be that guy, and I thank you for that. Here is a pic of a set of headlights that I have done. If this is done correctly it is a very nice look. I have included some pics. Have fun with the new Mini....Love the drive.
