R53 Door sill plate woes

Hey folks!!! How goes it!?!

I have searched high and low for new door sill plate options for my 2005 R53. While I have found the OEM set, I was hoping to find some fun aftermarket options. Sadly I found nothing... Not a one!!!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jeff

Once I put the AERO Kit on back in '07 I have not used any door sills at all.. Guess the after market world didn't think there was a demand for them. I kept saying I was going to do some custom design out of vinyl but just never did..

wouldn't be that tough to make your own I guess =). never really thought about getting aftermarket ones, I like my JCW sills =D

you can also get illuminated ones, but that seems like all too much work haha

Craven offers a black out door sill, but short of that I would only recommend OE sills, everything else looks cheap.

Craven Door Sills

My drivers sill started coming loose so I pulled it off and cleaned all the adhesive off so it's just black plastic.

I like my JCW door sill also. Peal and stick applications. Another option is the factory led lighted door sills.

These are the Older JCW logo, Rubberized, like a clear Gelcoat on top. Peal and stick, make sure your clean the old foam stick tape off the from the old ones.

I like the illuminated door sill options or the checkerboard sill options HERE. There are also Union Jack and JCW options at that link as well. Should give you some Genuine options at least.

I would be happy to set up free shipping for a fellow Oregonian on our R53 sill plates.

Just send me a PM.

I KNEW IT!!!! I knew I could count on my fellow miniacs! Some great links here folks!!! Thanks!

The story is I have been gone from the forum and Mini scene since around 2008. I had a 2006 S and after dumping obscene amounts of money into it, got a wild hair up my butt to trade it for a Jeep. STOOPID! So, I have spent years now trying to get another 05/06 R53. Had to be the same color and low miles. FINALLY found it! Pure silver 2005 with a mere 28K on it!

So now, I start over with my Mini project. From complete stock back to what I had before, only this time, I keep it.... Forever!
