Buying a set of 2022 JCW 18" takeoffs

Thinking of buying a set of 2022 Cooper JCW 18" takeoff wheels with tires. Wheels are in perfect condition with the factory Pirelli tires. Question is, do I have to pair up the TPMS sensors from these new wheels or will my 2022 Cooper JCW recognize them automatically? Thanks.

If it's like the 2019 when I put my snows on this year, the car detected the change and took me right to the tpms screen in the menu. It basically ran a recalibrate, and was good to go. When I go back to the summers (eventually) I assume it will follow the same process.

The snows are on factory 16" rims.... so I assume the tps are there. But I haven't had any reason to actually get a low reading. I guess I could go outside to freeze and read the actual, pressures. <G>

You can bet your Mini would have told you if the sensors were not there and should have been. Thanks for the info!

I don't think so, that's how I got my snows....... The original owner was saying he was getting a jcw and they wouldn't fit....

Just to close the loop with anybody who is searching.

I recently had to replace all four tires, because of a sidewall damage. I can confirm there was no sensors inside my wheels. The system in the car still works fine....

Maybe the "S" is different than my JCW, but there are sensors on my wheels (they are attached to the valve stem and require a battery to be replaced over time). When I rotate my tires, I have to go through a procedure to reprogram the sensors.

The battery in a TPMS is not replaceable. I dont need a procedure when rotating.
They all are part of the valve stem.

It could be a us vs can too.... All I know, is my factory wheels didn't have a sensor and I was surprised too.

Canadian models use the wheel speed sensors to implement a "flat tire monitoring system" instead of using individual TPMS sensors in the valve stems. It makes winter tire/wheel changeover so much easier. I live in YOW btw.
