Can I use bmw tpms on my clubman?
Got a smoking deal on jcw wheels locally off CL. Wheels came with tires but no tpms. instead of spending a boatload on new tpms sensors I started looking into what sensors bmws had. Does anyone know if I can take tpms sensors from a bmw and use it on my 2017 clubman? I’m seeing that there’s a certain part number that they use from 2014-2018 MY cars.
When I bought my new-to-me wheels, I chose to buy at set of new TPMS sensors for them. I got good quality aftermarket ones, Huf IntellisSens, and they were for MINI, BMW and Rolls Royce.
Just to add, at the tire place I bought the new ties for these wheels, the manager called me into the service bay and complained that my TPMS sensors were all bad. He had a test machine, and was getting no readings. Well, I just laughed (in my mind... not out loud). When TPMS sensors haven't been spinning for a while, they automatically turn off to save battery power. Since these were new, as far as I know, have never been spinning yet, and therefore were definitely powered off.
