Anyone running 18×8.5 et45 on an F56 Hatch?

Looking at some Rays Volks wheels, my ideal size is 18x8 et45, however they dont quite do that size, they can supply either:

- 18×8.5 ET42

- 18x8 ET50 - Dont think these will clear factory JCW brakes/struts without a 5mm spacer

I'd suggest the 17" wheel for smoother ride, lighter weight, and good tire selection. Opinions vary, thank heavens, but my goal is strictly performance.

Here's that tale, and no regrets.

Cheers,

Charlie

If you want to play it safe, go with the 18x8 +50. Yeah you'll want a spacer, not only to get further from the strut, but more flush with fender. But you can fine-tune it and get the exact fit.

If you're planing on camber plates, well then I'd guess (just a guess) that you could make the +42 work. The examples I see on that thread and others look like too much poke in the front. I bet they rub, even at stock height, if the car gets driven hard at all. If you lower it, for sure rubbing.

And of course, tire width will play a major factor here.
