Your "about 16 lbs each" seems a little heavy for these wheels. According to that Outmotoring page you linked the 15x7s are 12.2 lbs and even the 17x7s are only 15.4 lbs - your 16x7s should be somewhere in between.

If you believe wheelweights.net, the 16x7 are listed at 15.4 lbs and the 17x7 at 16.5 lbs

Never fully trust #s from a site that only gives you one weight for a particular size/model of wheel since weight varies with offset.....however, in this case.....

I just checked the Team Dynamics site and they say the 16x7 is "From 7.0 kg at highest offset." Since 45mm is also their highest listed offset for this wheel (and matches the MINI friendly # listed at Outmototing), convert 7.0 kg from metric and you get 15.4 lbs, perfectly matching the wheelweights.net #.

I did not confirm the weight myself by putting them on a scale, and that's why I stated "about 16 lbs" (coming from the cycling world, I know that weight claims are often dubious until independently confirmed). They did feel quite light out of the box, however, so 15.4 lbs. per wheel is probably correct. A lot of the spec Miata guys run these (15s usually)...which confirms that they offer a good balance of strength and light weight. IMO they look really good on a MINI as well!

Yes, the wheels/tires are still available -- the color is as shown in the link in the original post (can't remember if it's called hi-power silver or ice silver, but it's the darker, more muted or the two).

I can also send you a cell phone of the wheels on my (former) MINI if you want...

PM me on NAM, or send an e-mail to micahbones@yahoo.com
