I just sold my MINI and the buyer opted to pay less for the car without these wheels, so I am selling them separate. Check the attachments for photos. They are ASA brand wheels, licensed by BBS and look like the gorgeous Bimmer wheels. They don't make these wheels in chrome in 16", so I had them done custom chrome because I didn't want to go to 17's and sacrifice ride quality and added weight (also easier to buy the same size tire for all 8 wheels I had for the car). I have the original receipt; paid $1,583 August 2004. They're in good condition but not mint; could use a good polishing and waxing. One wheel has about 2" curb rash on the outer most rim edge. I can take more photos upon request, or come check them out in person.

ASA licensed by BBS??? What does that mean?

 

It's probably a patent issue. I think it means ASA pays BBS for rights to make this design of wheels and offer it at a lower price to consumers. A BBS 16" wheel runs $400+ each. The ASA version runs 1/2 that.

No, I don't have any photos of the wheels on the car before chroming. I had that done right away. IMO chrome looks so much better- adds just that right amount of sparkle and it is the first thing that gets attention. I had a friend who chromed his S-lites and everyone loved them and noticed them first thing. It makes a huge difference.

The wheels are still available. Anyone in the greater Ventura or LA County area interested? They're beautiful wheels- chrome really adds that extra something. I saw chromed 5-stars on a Cooper a few days ago and it looked so much better than factory painted. I'm glad to answer any questions about the wheels!
