We want to thank everyone who made it out to our Cars and Coffee event over the weekend. This was our biggest one yet as the whole lot was completely packed. It's always great to see a wide range of diversity. We look forward to having our next one in April, but will announce a confirmed date soon. You can check out our photo gallery of the event HERE and we will share a video with you soon! If you took any pictures at the event be sure to share them below.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Picture 5 is the tribute 935 build. The guy built it in his garage and drove it on the streets to the event. In 6, that guy and a few of his friends come on out to almost every C&C event we have.
Ah, yes you're talking about when you click into the album. Very nice.
Happy to hear you enjoy the events and we love having you all out. I'm sure we will see you guys out in April for the next one. If you have any questions about the JCW give me a shout and I can help you out. You can also always call and ask to speak to Mike Speer. He's a MINI guru.
Thanks ... The car showed well winning Peoples' Choice Awards at '02 Fest West in the 1998, 2000 and 2001.
Why'd you sell her?
I was living in San Francisco at the time (2002) ... took delivery of my Cooper S in May and was going to lose my second garage space in October. I couldn't bear to park either car outside, so I decided to sell the 2002tii. It was not an easy decision after almost 30 years of ownership!
The engine, transmission and clutch in the car were all still original (never rebuilt or replaced), so I was looking at hefty bill bit not too far down the road. I pulled it off eBay after 5 days with the bid at $9,000 to sell it locally for $10,500. I bought the car (new) in February 2003 for $5,500.

Ah, yes. Parking outside, especially in a state with all the elements, is tough. I parked mine outside for a year once and finally ended up paying extra for a garage spot. I had 2 people park on my bumper in a span of 2 days in a row! It sure was a beautiful vehicle though. Maybe you'll get another in the future, when you have enough room for more toys that is.
