5th Annual MINIs in the Mountains Registration Open!

The 5th annual MINIs in the Mountains (MITM) is now open for registrations.

This year MITM is August 12 - 15 in Winter Park, Colorado - about an hour from Denver - and will feature new rides, new scenery and new adventures. As an added bonus this year, every MITM registration will get you into MTTS on Saturday and our vendors will get to spend the day at MTTS as well. Check out our website for more details, lodging information and online registration.

As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with our site so I'm assuming it is something on the paypal side. Let us know if it still won't work the next time you try it.

Will it be necesary for those who have registered for MTTS to also register for MITM?

Any info you can provide about how the 2 events are going to be combined will be much apprciated. i.e. is the MTTS event, which I understand is taking place on Saturday Aug 14th also going to be at Winter Park?

I haven't heard anything, but I would think you would have to register for both. I haven't seen any tentative schedule either. Sorry, I have been just following MC2 Magazine info and checking online websites.

So here is how it will work. Everybody who registers for MITM will receive MTTS credentials handed to them on Friday in Winter Park. All MITM vendors that wish to have a space at MTTS will be given a promo code to use for their MTTS registration. Those codes will be coming from MTTS once we submit our vendor list to them.
Registration to MTTS will not get you into MITM.
You could register for both, but ours is less expensive, comes with a t-shirt and gets you both events.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully MINI USA will provide more details when MTTS registration opens in May. I appreciate the tip that it is less expensive to register for MITM because it includes entry to MTTS.

I will be driving from the New York start point and so I will wait until I have more details on the MTTS event before registering for MITM. Does MITM have a cutoff for the maximum number of registrants?

Well we hadn't anticipated a maximum, but I would guess we can't handle any more then 2,000 MINIs.

If I register for MITM and I join MTTS for parts of the rally before Denver you mean I won't be able to get my MTTS credentials? Will I be able to participate in MTTS events at the cities in which I'll be traveling with the rally?

I talked to a MTTS rep at MINI yesterday. The deal is, you register with MITM and allow them to share your name and email address with MINI (there was an email sent out on this, to MITM registered folks). Then, when you get to MTTS - whichever place you go to first - they'll look up your info and give you a badge. The badge has a bar code, which will be read at - and get you into - the other events.

Example. I signed up for MITM. I go to the DC event. They look up my name, give me my MTTS badge and goodie bag. Then, I can go to Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, whererever, and I'm covered.

Hope this helps.

Thanks carman63, that is exactly correct. We're still working the details out as far as passengers, vendors and what-not but we'll get it down pretty soon.
The only thing is that since you will not be going through the regular registration process for MTTS you will not get the emails from them. They have assured me however that you can keep up to date with the MTTS facebook page equally as well.

I'm already registered with MTTS, is there a way I can register for MITM as well without the MTTS deal? I don't want to confuse MTTS folks with two reservations for that. heh Its myself and my son as my passenger.

That's fine morwen. You can register for MITM and then respond in the negative when I send out an email asking if you want to be included for the free MTTS. Several people have registered for both events.
