Tail of the dragon best hotels
I stayed at the bottom in the closest town for free with my hotel points in maryville towards the dragon . If you want to be close to the action Fontana village is the best. I did get to drive the dragon every day on my way up to Fontana village, so taht was good. If you park at the local hotels at the bottom of the hill its easier to get in/out with a trailer as space is not limited.
