Pulling to the right

Hi all,

My MCS is pulling to the right. At about 15,000 miles with Original wheels and tires it started to pull right. After getting aftermarket wheels and tires it still pulled to the right. After getting H-sport springs and a 4-wheel alignment, no change, actually seems a little more pronounced.
Any thoughts?

I wish I had the answer but mine is also pulling, only to the left. Perhaps someone could help us both.

Don't really know, but could it be a power stearing issue?

I'm just taking a shot in the dark, I'm sure one of the more educated NAM members'll chime in soon with an answer...

good luck both of you!

Tire pressures all set right, alignment set right, then it must go right

No this sounds like Tramlining HAve oyu checked this on smooth flat level road with the throttle out? Or a parking lot coasting to a stop witht he engine off? Often times something as simple as rotating tires will make it more pronouced reaching a lower wear point wouldn't spurise me as making it more noticable and switching to tires with a different trad patten may make it worse as well.

i have the same problem too, but it started after i got new tires installed and i got it aligned three times by two different places. everything was aligned accordingly and one of them actually told me it was "tire pull"... so it could be the tires. a good test if you switch the tires right to left (temporarily) and see if the pull goes to the opposite direction.

Make sure they are NOT directional tires, you sound like you've got the tramlining issue some tire tread pattereds get into the grooves in the road easier than others.

I think I saw a hunter machine that will road force balance the tires when it's pulling to either side..

I had pulling issues with low air on one side... Doubt thats your problem, but an easy check and easy fix.

Considering year and mileage, this may not be it, but check the front suspension bushings. Your indication was the same for me.

I just put on a new set of tires a week or so ago, and the car was pulling to the right. The car had been aligned about a week prior, on a Hunter rack, by a race shop that set the alignment to my specs, where possible.

I called the shop, and was told by the owner (who said he did a lot of years in the tires biz) that it sounded like a tire issue. We swapped tires front to rear on the side that was pulling (they're directional, so we didn't swap side to side) and it went away. I was told to conract the tire seller about getting a replacement. Well, the tires came from Tire Rack, so I called them this morning, and was told, "No problem. Not uncommon. We'll send another one out to you, give a few days for getting it mounted/balanced, and call us when the old one is ready to be picked up and we'll send UPS for it."

New tire on the way. Another Tire Rack save!

If you're having the pulling problem with new tires, do a tire swap and see if it makes a difference. If so, go back to the tire seller and ask about it.

Update: I spoke with Tire Rack yesterday morning about this, and a new tire arrived this morning (2/28). Talk about fast! Granted, I'm not far from their Reno warehouse, but I-80 has been seriously snowbound for the last few days.

it was just an idea and no that i'm asking you to drive the cars with switched tires for a while... like maybe driving in a short straight line, you really don't need to drive more than half a mile to notice the pull and your not going to ruin the directional tires if you drive them like that in less than half a mile. but if you are still pulling with the new tires sent (hoping that you won't) try checking for a mushroomed tower because you did go through two sets of wheels+tires with the pulling.
