Carbon Fiber Wheels?

Are there any in a 4 lug pattern available anywhere? I'd love some like these with the middle spokes painted body color!

Now these have a different look. Any ideas on how they will hold up for everyday driving ? Post some pics if you get them on your car.

I could only imagine how expensive those would be.

Looks like Dymag is only making these in 18", 19" and 20" so far. Of course, the 18" is only 13.2 pounds, which is amazing. Makes me wonder what a 15" carbon-fiber/magnesium wheel would weigh (and cost).

$8700 actually sounds about right. The Marchesini rims for my motorcycle are about $2500 for the pair, and they're just magnesium (no carbon fiber). Plus the bike rims are only 17" X 3.5" and 17" X 5.5".

I can see these failing spectacularly at highway speeds+ after some pot hole.

The wheels are actually very strong... I saw a pic (stress test i think) where the center broke out and the CF looked flawless. They had an aluminum rim next to it broke in half.

Kechan, probably similar to what they do with CF/Alum MTN bikes... embed a "dovetail" type joint. The CF epoxy eats away he aluminum tho, magnesium... I have no idea.
