Hawk Ceramics?

The Hawk website shows no match for 2006 MINI - but I know folks are running these. It shows a match for 2004:
HB444Z.685 Front
HB445Z.610 Rear

Are these the same for 2006 model or ???

Thanks

Probably, but not a definite. If there system is anything like mine at work, it takes a while to update the listing. IE, someone called for an EGR valve for a 4.0 Explorer. Didn't come up for that year but popped up for one a year older, same 8th VIN digit. Also, I've heard Hawks are super noisy and a little harsh on rotors. Just a heads up and only what I've heard, not experienced.

The Hawks are not noisy at all! I got them last April and they are very clean (barely any brake dust...YAY), very effective, and feel just like the OEM pads did. You may be thinking of the Ferodos, which are known for squealing.

Oh, okay. Or maybe it was a more aggresive semi metallic pad.

Call Detroit Tuned to order. They have good prices and know what you need. I just threw away my boxes last week.

I confirmed that those ARE the right pads - the reason they don't appear in Hawk's system for 2005-2006 cars is because MINI added the rear break pad sensor in 2005 and Hawk as we know has not added the sensor notch in the rear pads. Instead of this being reflected in Hawk's system with an asterisk or whatever, they just say "we don't have a fit" - for front OR rear (even though the fronts are perfect, with the sensor notch).

Geesh.

Clo which Hawks did you get? I have been looking at their ceramic street line as I will need new brakes in the not-to-distant future & I have decided to go Hawk over all the rest

The Hawk ceramics I just put on my 04 did have the notch for the sensor in the rear, and 04's do have the rear sensor.

Check with MINIBrakes under the group buys section. I got my pads from them for a very good price and fast service.

MINIBrakes knows his stuff.

Hawk makes a few different materials in the correct shape of pads. The HPS is their street pad, and the fairly new Ceramic line is very competent, as well. The HP+s are a little aggressive for street use, and can get a little noisy on some cars.

The nice thing with the Ceramics is that the dust is silver or white, so it does not instantly dirty up your wheels when you wash the car.

I just purchased these Hawk pads:
HB444Z.685 Front
HB445Z.610 Rear

The rears do not have the sensor notch. But the Minibrakes guy is top shelf.

What is the most aggressive hawk pad that will fit the mini? And is it too noisy/anything for street driving? AND last where do you buy them?
