Odd rear pad wear

Odd rear pad wear
Just installed the caliper stiffeners (bushings) in my rear calipers. After a recent rain and subsequent surface rust on the rotor, I can see that the rear pads are not in full contact with the rotor. I can see that there is approx. 1/4 inch of swept area, toward the hub that is now not in use. I would guess that this is due to uneven pad wear due to the deflection of the caliper/with the rubber bushings. (didn't look at the backside of the rotor)
Question, besides replacing the pads (only a few months old) is there anything that I can do. Or, just let it fix itself over time?
