R55 Rear brakes - What did I do wrong?

Rear brakes - What did I do wrong?

Hey guys and gals!
I decided to change my rear brakes on my Clubman yesterday, and I guess Mini brakes are smarter than me. I noticed this morning the wear sensor popped out, and my parking brake is still not so strong, even with new pads. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think you may have to work the hand brake a few times on and off for it to readjust, depending on how far you retracted the piston, so that may improve with use.

Re the sensor, unless you just bought a new one and really want it to work, just chop it off, solder the wires together and cover with heat shrink. You may have broken it slightly getting it apart if you're reusing old ones. I've found it all but impossible to get the factory ones off without breaking them.
