OZ Wheels

Does anybody have any experiance with OZ wheels? Will their Ultraleggeras with a 37 mm offset work on our Mini's? Also they are very light at 16lbs but are they strong? Thanks for the help.

OZ makes a great quality wheel. They are lightweight and very strong. I have used them on a couple of my cars (currently running 18" Ultralegerras on my Cooper S). I'm not sure about the 37mm offset, but I am using 42mm offset with 5mm spacers with no problems. I recommend them

you are running a 37 offset by using 5mm spacers on ET42 wheels

Love 'em

I've got 15" Ultras and they're great. Work well with the stock studs, great brake clearance, 37mm offset is fine. Very light (12 lbs for 15") and the cosmetic finish is the best. They come with aluminum spacers that have snap rings built into them that snap into a groove in the wheel so if you remove the wheel the spacer will stay in the wheel, which is a big plus if you've ever lost a spacer changing a tire on the side of the road. Also, my old S-lites quickly picked up brake dust on the outside, but the Ultras don't seem to have that problem because the way the inside lip of the rim is formed. It's hard to describe but if you set the two side by side you'll see. Mine are graphite and I think there was an earlier post that they're now available in flat black as well.

These are OZ Ultraleggeras in 16x7... with 225/45R16 Hankook z212 RS-2's!

Since my car's about 1.5" lower than stock (on our TSW/Leda Softcore suspension), I did have to trim the lip off the fender trim. A shorter or narrower tire wouldn't pose any issues - the 225/45's rubbed just a bit before trimming. It'd be tough to fit a much wider tire under with a +37 unless you did more major surgery...

We have the 17x7 +37 Ultraleggeras on my wife's MCC running on 215/40/17 Kuhmo SPTs. The wheels look great and seem strong. The weight reduction from stock wheels seemed like a huge boost in acceleration compared to the S-Lites and Dunlop 9000 RFs that these replaced.

Thanks guy's for the input. Think i'm going to go with 17x7 Ultras with 215/45/17 General Exclaim UHP's. With this combo i'll be saving 11-12 lbs. per corner. I just hope they fit when I lower my car next year lol.

I have 18" superleggera's been on the car for over two years with no problems very strong wheel, these came with the car when I bought it unfortunately they are not my style so they will be up for sale very shortly, as I'm going to a five spoke style, just searching out appropriate hardware for the new wheels.
