Yup, that's the actual color of the phosphorus coating! It's even darker in person.
They have the highest carbon content of ANY cast iron rotor on the market. Because of this, their thermal properties are superior to ANY aftermarket rotor - they can take more heat AND dispense with it faster. They outperformed Brembo replacements in head-to-head testing and are some of the finest OEM replacements on the market. Our vendor insists the performance will be better than ANY other aftermarket replacement rotor, bar none.
We'll be installing these and a set of Porterfield R4-S pads on a donor car this Saturday at the TSW WHQ.
In the very near future (4-6 weeks), we'll be offering:
1. Front or rear rotors a la carte.
2. Front and rear rotor package.
3. Front and rear rotor package with Porterfield pads of your choice (R4-S for the street/AX and R4's for the track (which Dr. Mike tested and loved before going BBK).
4. Complete brake kit - all 4 rotors, Porterfield pads of your choice, SS lines, and Motul RBF600.

Once we have a big stack here, I can share the country of origin... If I shared the country of origin, we'd be giving up competitive advantage since it would be pretty easy to track down our supplier. That's just something that we don't really want to do at this point...
Suffice it to say that these are top quality, made in a state-of-the-art facility (ISO certified), and this company supplies rotors to several race series in their region. They have been around for 30+ years making nothing but brake rotors. They own 60% market share in their home region and 35% market share in their other center of operations. They supply many OEMs and assembly plants, too.

Well, we're working on a stud solution that would eliminate that need... BUT, for those that want to stay with the M14x1.25 bolts, I can contact our supplier... I need to get my hands on some of the new rotors with the larger holes, get out the digital calipers, and compare to the old ones...
Can you comment on the interesting shape of the grooves? Specifically how they compare to the more traditional directional vanes?

We just compared them head to head... ours are only slightly less weight, 0.5 pounds lighter on the fronts and the same weight as OEM in the rear...
The slotting is setup that way to ensure that gases always have somewhere to go, no matter where the pad is in relation to the slotting.
How about the new frt. GP rotors with 14mm holes for those who want to stay with the stronger 14mm lugs or studs. They'll be on all r56 S cars coming out.

11.5 pounds for the fronts - according to our scale, a brand new OEM from the dealer weighed 12 pounds... The rears are slightly lighter than OEM, too, but only slightly - could be within the margin of error of our scales.
These are OEM size... IIRC, the JCW BBK rotors are larger? The rears would work, though. Our supplier doesn't have an offering for the JCW yet... We can look into that, though.
We'll be sending them a new OEM rotor with the 14mm holes for reference, as soon as we can get our hands on one...
im currently testing these rotors out for tsw so if yall have a ? then just ask and ill be happy to respond to it

im running the porterfield brake pads that are for autox and street with the rotors and i have a nice set of cooper tires
it usually takes about a couple of days for them to break in and after that it depends on the conditions
i have been driving on both dry and wet surfaces and doing both soft stops and hard stops turning into corners with e brake
the dry surfaces have been a dream they stop on a dime without abs ever ingaging
as for the wet side with the down pour and the road being saturated the rotors preform better then the oem i would say the only time that abs has ever come on in a wet situation was in the hard brake never in the soft brake
anything else just ask

Quotes are still coming in, but I think we have the conversion studs nailed...
After ordering, it'll take 4-6 weeks to get them in hand. They'll look a whole lot like the Turner studs, with a bullet nose and black oxide finish.
Any update on your new carbo-ferro-phospho-slotto rotors? Getting itchy here. Spring is coming, gotta have brakes. Did the ship get lost?
