The amazing thing about the MINI is that, as bad as some of these pictures have been, the frame of the car, and the shape of the passenger cabin has always remained essentially intact! I don't know what happened to this car, but I'd bet that if they had been driving a Neon, they'd be MUCH worse off. As bad as these kinds of pics make me feel for those drivers, they make me feel great about my own safety.

That is a serious case of road rash. Would like to see some pics of the interior to see how well it held up.

I do believe, wait... yes, I think that MINI has been upside-down. I infer from this thread that the driver and passenger were okay...

How sad. Anybody know HOW this happened?

Yep, this has been posted on MCO before...and the occupants were OK. Notice that the power (electricity) is still on in the car.

Coming soon to eBay?

The occupants were unhurt by the crash. The woman driving got a concussion when she released her seatbelt. You see, the car was upside down at the time!

Apparently she lost control on an interstate somehow. Nasty wreck but the MINI did it's job.

As I recall it, the driver hooked into the bumper of an SUV and it sort of lifted and
then flipped the MINI. I think at the time the guy said his wife wasn't accustomed to the MCS's handling and made a judgement error moving into the lane and tieing up w/ the SUV. They apparently slid a very long way on the roof.
Also, they decided against getting another MINI.
