I like the DL46 I had ones almost like it on my beetle. Pics in myspace. I know not a cooper not even the same wheel. But it can give you a good idea of the 5-spoke look.I like the way 5 spokes can open up the well and show off your brakes. Some ppl say that they (excels) can bend, I didn't have that problem. But I did get ran off the road, and they did bend when I crashed.
I know this post is no help.

on the MINI, the radius and tz will probably look the best.

i have the real GT3's on my other car which looks great
showing off the brembo's, but on the MCS, i'd like something
that can hide the rotors a little more. If you're wanting
a 5 spoke look, find something that have wider spokes.

Are you looking at 18s or 17s?? I agree with Kenchan, the DL 46 will show all the brake, making it look small in comparison. I like the TZ-16s the best, tho. If you like the Exel TZ-16 and E-2, check these out.

Also, this guy has these is 4x100, but just not in a current auction.

Ya im definately looking for the deepest lip which is sometimes hard to achieve on smaller rims. I am looking to get 18s. BTW my cooper, which is on order and will be here soon, is a MCS in dark silver with a black roof. Will these silver rims look the best or would gun metal color rims look better? Would gun metal match the dark silver of the car well?? Is it a good thing to have rims that match the car? I like these three the best right now. Sandtoast I did like those second ones you showed.

Exel DL-46 $150 per wheel

Exel TZ-16 $125

Exel E-2 $165

Yea, that's sweet. Also, those Exels only have 4 lug holes, where the HP 18 evos have 8 holes: 4x100/4x114.3. So that's a "look" choice.

Now. . .

If you're into lips (!) Then check these out: These are all 17", some are 25 offset which is doable, but tricky! Hub is 57.1, bolt pattern 4x100.

2" lip!!!!

I don't think so, but with 18s you'll definitely run into many more problems if you ALSO want a big lip. It's pretty much fat 17s or skinny 18s. Plus, the 25mm offset is giving you the fat lip. that much offset on an 18 and you'll have to rip your fenders off to make it fit. With 17s you can stretch a tire on there and avoid problem spots. And you can protect that lip from damage with a bit more tire than u would have with 18s. Plus tires and wheels are cheaper, too.

I guess you have to decide what you really want, and ask yourself why do u want 18s?

Remember, this is a MINI; if it were a larger car, larger rims might be appropriate.

Good luck.

17s just look too small to me. I am used to big rims too. I drove a BMW 740Il with 20s. DO you know what size rims are on the car above??

Yea, I started out wanting 18s, too. 2 years later and I have the stock 15s on my car and I'm considering making the "Jump" to 16s.

I say go 20s. You can fit 'em. Search "Dubs" on here and you'll turn up some good stuff.

Here is a picture of my car with the black motegi FF7 19". They make it in the gunmetal which will look sick with the color combination of your car. Trust me you will love these rims on the car, especially the gunmetal. Go for it.

I've had the Ace Arius' for about a year now with no problems and still love the look. I had wanted the ASA AR1's but didn't like the fake bolts around the edge. I also debated on the Enkei RPM2's but went with the Arius'.

I'm still happy and have recently switched to Hankook RS2 Z212 215/40/17 tires. Stickier, lighter (20.5 v 21.5), and a better ride than the previous Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S 215/45/17.

Pics in Show me your WHEELS! thread.

Do you have any rubbing Peter W?? I wish i could see pics of the gunmetal ones on a grey car. I like those rims on a car but not in a pic alone....weird. Im leaning towards those, the exel e-2s and the hp racing evos.

I've got the DRAG DR-12's on my MINI in the gloss black color. They are similar to the Exel's you posted above, and have a pretty deep lip.

Here is a picture;

And here is a picture of them in black mounted on my car:

And a much older picture:

I have no rubbing. If you lower your car you definately will. I suggest going with 18" if you want a smoother ride. My ride is pretty stiff. If you want something with a deep lip look at the Axis Mod 7 with the Maxis lip. 3" lip in the rear and 2.25" i think in the front. Check out the gunmetal FF7 man, really nice. I think the HP evo's are a little decieving because they show a wheel with a huge lip and 5 lug, but on the cooper it will be less, just to keep you informed.
