Remember the old school?

Konig Remember wheels on ebay...

16x7
4x100
35 offset
73 hub
black/polish or gold/polish

Is the 35 offset too aggressive? I think a 205/50 16 would be money on HSport springs... Maybe a little tiny bit of trimming on the fender in the back... Awesome BBS style look, though... You can't find anything like this anymore...

If anyone hooks these up, we need to see pics right away!

Better 3/4 view to see more lip. I like thick lips, like the BBS LMs. Thick is a good comprimise to a deep lip, which I would prefer, but our MINIs need for a high offset doesn't allow it.

Those are very old school. I had the same style BBS wheels on my 2002 BMW back in the day. Gold wheels, burgandy car.

Photohack

Microsoft paint hack:

I think the black would look better but I don't have a good pic of it. Need a dark background behind the spokes like the gold does... Not bad though...

You could pull off et35 offset... it will require some minor plastic fenderwell trimming, but so what! Small price to pay.

I'm running ET35 (w/17x7.5) and it's fine, although I'm running a stock suspension. Check my gallery (BBS RX) for fitment photos.

Update

After another few months of looking at wheels, I've gotten in the groove of the BBS styles. Browsing VWs over at vortex has shown me the light. But, a set of old BBS rs or rm wheels will cost a pretty penny. Here are two examples, both around $1k.

Various offsets and lip sizes, which are interchangable, make for a lot of possibilities, but it all adds up in cost. Plus, I've heard of multipiece wheels loosing tire pressure among other problems. Getting them to look like the shot below would be really nice, but not realistic for a daily driver:

So, the Remember wheels are more attractive from all standpoints. Here are a few more angle shots that are posted up on ebay:

Silver looks great. I just can't see doing an open spoke design like I see on every other car around, no offense.

Any other input, anyone?

I've got +37 16x7's with 225/45R16's on them, lowered 1.5", minor trimming... I'd guess you could shoehorn those wheels in there with some trimming! Maybe some short 215/45R16 Azenis?

They look exactly like the street wheels on our e30 AX car... Schweet!

Nice, and unless the e30 is an M3, it should have the 4x100 bolts. You should see if they'll fit on a MINI, just for a pic.

I may even go down to 205 size tire. I think that's the whole issue is tire size.
