Final Answer on if your run flat is actually flat?

Hi everyone...Both my Mini dealer and my local tire shop cannot give me a definitive answer on how to tell if my run flats are just low on air and/or have a slow leak, or if they are actually flat. Mini says just bring the car in...well, the yellow warning light goes off once a week. Everything seems fine, and when I reset it after checking the tires, it stays off..for a few days. Now...does anyone know how to tell if the tire is actually flat without bringing it in every week to the dealer or the tire guy? Or are these sensors quick to go off if your psi drops a bit?

Run flats are more aggravation then they are worth..at least on my car. Which is only 3 months old. Ugh. Thanks for your help if anyone knows.

The runflat sensor does not detect air pressure; it detects variables in the rotation speed of the axles. Driving on a rough road can sometimes set off the sensor. My runflat sensors go off at the same time EVERY time I drive to my grandparents in Lake Elsinore.
