S-Lites and Goodyear F1 GS D3 / Yoko Parada Spec 2

Call me crazy, but I like the looks of my 17" white S-Lites. Now that my Eufori@s are at the end of their life, I'm thinking of going non-run flats as replacements. Tire Rack has some nice rubber this month, including both
the Goodyear F1 GS D3 in 215/45YR17 and the Yokohama Parada Spec 2 in 205/45WR17. Decisions, decisions...What do y'all think on these choices?

GS-D3's for sure. The spec2's are good but the aren't nearly as grippy
as the GS-D3's.

you're not crazy. s-lites are good looking wheels.

I agree with you that the S-lites do look very fitting on the MINI. They look even better when the car is in motion at low speeds. Of course, the OZ Superturismo WRC in white look even better, and shave some of that unwanted weight. Reasonably priced too as far as aftermarket wheels go.

Ahh Stevie,

You're definitely playing to the side of me that wants only the best on Blubelle. Those OZ Superturismo WRC wheels are indeed sharp!

But I will not yield. Only new soles on my old shoes.

P.S. I see that the F1 GS D3's on sale are 215s. Anyone had rubbing issues with a stock wheel? My car is lowered, but I don't foresee a problem.

My car is stock height, with the Goodyear 215/45x17s on S-lites. One thing -- some folks may not like that the tires look a little wider than the rims. But, no rubbing. They ride great, and they're quieter than the run flats that I took off.

Back to your question, i love the looks of s-lites, i had gsd3s, loved them, thanks to Ken a million times to convince me on the selection, i am getting a set for the new car as well.

Thanks to the folks here I went with the GY's in the size you are looking at. I have them on 45 offset 5Zigen with no rubbing on my H Sport springs set up.

oh.... cause i have a spare brand new 16 GS-D3 laying around. hahaha.

my tires are now at about 20% worn, so i would need to get it shaved
if i was to encounter a blow out or something on one of the tires i have
on the SSR's.
