We have recived our 1st Gran Turismo kits built for Mini.

Ultra High Performance Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System packages were developed to offer race-inspired braking components that are endowed with several significant advantages over a vehicle’s original braking system to provide superior braking time after time. They are for drivers who want to make a statement by substantially improving the looks and performance of their vehicle’s braking system.

Typical Brembo GT kit components include:
Item Description
1 Right caliper (with brake pads installed)
1 Right caliper bracket, with nuts and washers
1 Right rotor (disc & bell assembled)
1 Right Goodridge® stainless steel braided brake line

1 Left caliper (with brake pads installed)
1 Left caliper bracket, with nuts and washers
1 Left rotor (disc & bell assembled)
1 Left stainless steel braided brake line

2 Brake caliper inlet fitting or banjo bolt
2 or 4 Brake caliper inlet copper sealing washer
2 Brake bleeder hose
2 Loctite Capsule
2 4-inch Brembo die-cut sticker

1 Caliper bracket diagram
1 Installation Instructions

Rotors are 320mm 2 piece drilled
Calipers are 4 piston fixed, available in red, black, or silver.

Brembo Gran Turismo Systems provide excellent stopping power in everyday traffic, as well as superior high performance street and track driving. They are designed to bolt onto the vehicle’s original suspension, and are fully compatible with the vehicle’s stock brake master cylinder and anti-lock braking system (ABS).

I have silver caliper and slotted rotors, or black caliper and drilled rotors. Your choice $2495 plus shipping.

320mm = 11.9" for those non-metric people

Dan, what is the weight difference between these Brembo GT's and OEM? Also, can you get any of the colors with either slotted or drilled rotor (i.e. black with slotted)? Will the brake pedal feel any different (since it uses the stock master)? Are there a variety of aftermarket pads available (street, track, mixed)?

thanks for satisfying my insatiable quench for info

Cheers,
Ryan

Yes the color combinations are made available either way, silver, red or black in slotted or drilled, per availability at Brembo. I will try and get some weight specs on this brake kit for you. I do not have a way to weight the mini's stock brakes for comparison. Checking on braking elements.

As I have stated previosly I don't have OE brake weights, but here is weights on the Grand Turismo Kit

Disc Assembly: 12.25 lbs
Caliper with Pads and Bracket: 8.5 lbs

I also found that Brembo only offers 1 pad for these kits. They use a few diffrent souces for the GT pads, so its hard to nail down exactly what manufacture is used.

As far a pedal feel, the same master cylender is used, and I would attribute its feel to be equall with a much more dramatic onset. I doubt you'd have to get into the pedal much at all. presurizedmini should be able to give us some idea on feel.

In further research Grand Turismo kits are using Ferrodo or Hawk pads.
