Black wheels on EB/W

I put winter tires on my s-lites this winter.

I now want to get new wheels and summer tires and I have been toying with the idea of getting black wheels. The ASA AR1 in black are one an example of at least one canidate.

So what do people think of black wheels on an EB/W MCS? I think many people think you have to have the black roof. I do have black bonnett stripes. Here is a pic of my MINI.

I've been noticing that as long as you don't have white mirrors your fine. I have a red and white MCS and I'm either going to buy new wheels in black or powder coat my s-lites flat black and then I'm either going to get mirror covers or get my friends paint shop to paint them flat black.

You can see my MCS with gunmetal wheels in my gallery. I think they look great with dark wheels.

As someone who has an Electric Blue/Black color scheme going, I think black wheels would indeed look weird on a car with a white roof...

Especially since you are now confusing me by having black bonnet stripes, and union jack mirror covers. In my humble opinion, you're adding too many color schemes, and your MINI is starting to look disjointed; not color-coordinated.

But again, I'm trying to scale down the number of colors on my car. The body is EB, but everything else, including the stripes and window tint, is black.

Simplify!

Well, I was definitely going for something more ecclectic and less themed. The roof and stripes being opposite is rare from what I have seen and I like it. I like the black wheel idea and I am glad most have confirmed and thanks for all the opinions. I was mainly doing a check to make sure the black wheel idea was not totally nuts.

By the way, what you don't see much in the pic I posted is that I do have the sunroof which makes a big part of the roof black as well.

I got the wheels from Wheelmax.com I just check the website (http://www.wheelmax.com/wheelcolors....or=Gun%20Metal) and they are only available in 17 and 18" The pic is across the street from my front door. Washed the car and decided to take it. Lighting was bad, but it came out ok.

(edit) Do you mean the Smith Rock pic? If so check out http://www.smithrock.com/aboutsr/index.html for more info. It is a state park here in central OR.

Well, I have an EBB and ran the gunmetal Konig Rewinds as my winter wheels. In my opinion it doesn't look right. Dark wheels look great on some color schemes but EB, no. Its just my opinion so take it for what its worth.
