recommendations for new tires and wheels for track useage?

Hi, New here...nice to meet you all..

Just ordered an 06 JCW, should see it in a month or two...

Im looking for recommendations on new wheel and tire options, not neccessarily R compound, but something better than stock.

I have goodyear F1's on my R32 now, they are nice...

Was thikning about the OZ ultralegerras at 16lb's each...but cant find a decent tire. Do I need to run spacers?

thanks
Matt

No spacers needed. 205/50/16 give you plenty to choose from.

"Will fit under most Aftermarket wheel 17"+ and the following MINI wheels- John Cooper Works 18” alloy wheels
- Original MINI 17” alloy wheels
- Original MINI 16” Bridge Spoke alloy wheel (16”x6.5” IS48 Styling R94)
- Original MINI 16” Double Spoke alloy wheel (16”x5.5” IS45 Styling R87)"

Kumho MX's, Hankook z212's, and Falken Azenis RT-615 have all proven to be pretty groovy in my track experience... SO-3's are also nice, but $$$. BFG KDW2's are also great...

Not sure. Would like to look at the OZ ultralegerras, SSR's or any BBS that look decent. Just need a light wheel thats strong for track only use.

Tire Rack has a JCW filter on their site so you can see what wheels will fit. I am picking up my JCW on Sat. and will AutoX it. I got 16" SSR Comps w/ Azenis for AutoX ($$$) and 17" Kosei K1's w/ Goodyear F1s for everyday. Then I'm going to throw Blizzak's on the stockers for winter.
