Yet another wheel idea.

Just ran across these on Ebay. They are Momo Corse RPM. 17.5 lbs in 17 inch, 42 offset. Should fit the Mini fine, but I am not sure of the hub hole size. What is the size of the hub on the Mini. Does anyone know anything about these?

For a forum that is full of opinions, no one has anything to say? Come on. Like it, hate it, let me hear it.

Love everything about it EXCEPT the writing on the lip. I would never put anything like it on my car. If it came in all gunmetal or a similar color with no writing, now that would be amazing.

I love seeing all of the wheels that can be put on our cars; thanks for the heads-up.

Regardless of finish, the writing on the lip screams RICE! Otherwise a very nice looking wheel.

Don't like the writing?

Scotch-brite to the rescue!

I like them - the MINI hub is 56.15 and 4x100 bolt pattern. The hub center isn't a big deal, you just may need to run hubcentric rings.

How much are they? Great looking street wheel - if it were a bit lighter, it'd be a good track wheel too.

Interesting opinion. I've seen the TDR's on a Mini, with lettering on the rim and thought it was one of the nicer looking rims. And it didn't look rice. Not starting any flames, just having a discussion.

I am seriousely considering them. I've found a couple of places that sells them at $150/ea. List is somewhere aroun $260+ (I know it don't mean anything, but as reference...). I know Momo makes a quality product and at 17.5 lbs, it is right about where I wanted to be. My other choice was the Kosei K1 TS and they are about 14.5 lbs.

Pain to clean..

I've got wheels with the twin spoke design. Pain to clean the brake dust from between the spokes....

Just a thought...

Love the gunmetal, thanks for that (still hate all the writing). There is certainly less writing on the above wheel than the original in this post!

The only thing I don't like about them is the center cap, but that is an easy fix. That being said, I just ordered the black ones. I guess I will be making a post in the Show Me Your Wheels thread soon.

Here you go:

I actually first saw them on EBay, but I did not like the tires they were packaged with, so I ordered them on the store's web site. The guy has a 10,000+ feedback, so seems legitimate enough.

I'm not sold on the lettering on the lip, but I assume its a vinyl graphics pack that ships with the rim? (Much like the Work Emotions or the Team Dynamics models.)

If so, I'd be inclined to not apply them. But on the upside, at least it's a quality wheel manufactuer that you are advertising for.

Nice!
I like the wheel, but I have to agree that the writing on the lip doesn't work for me either -- would look much better without.

I have to mentions this. The writing on the lip is actually etched into the lip and then painted. It is not a vinyl, or painted on top. It actually looks a lot better in person. I had the rims installed at Steve's Auto Clinic at SoCal and everyone who saw it (and normaly he has a bunch of Mini owners there on any given weeken) thought they looked really good. Most people were impressed with the quality and the look and the fact that they were made by a quality company like Momo.
