Which wheels: Need opinions
ignorant question
There are obviously different opinions about forged versus cast wheels. Can someone offer a basic education as to the basic comparisons between the two (pros and cons)? Thanks.
When a material is forged it is compressed under heat "hot working" the material. This results in better grain structure and a stronger material. This means a wheel can have less weight and be stronger
Casting is molten material poured into a mold. though easy and cheap to produce, The result is not as strong, therefore your wheels will be heavier
If you are racing....and every .1 sec counts, go as light as possible.
If you are just adding bling .....who cares get whatever you want, Its just about looks.

Forged metal is stronger than cast metal. As a result, less material can be used when the wheel is forged, resulting in a lighter wheel. Some manufacturers choose not to shoot for a really light weight, resulting in a "not-so-light" wheel that's very strong. Others are looking for a "not-so-strong" wheel that's light... or anywhere in-between.
Don't forget that the wheel design itself also plays a large part in strength.

I'm leaning toward the Brigs as they are forged and the weight is close to my Centerlines.
Let me know what you think!

Also, I can't find out much information about the company, warranty, etc...
