I am a Mini newbie and not very knowledgable about cars. Is there any reason that I cannot buy 17" tires for the MC once I get it home and how much would a decent set of 17" tires cost?

The MC is identical to the MCS in regards to most everything but engine and exhaust mods. So yes you can go with 17" tires and wheels as long as the wheels fit the bolt pattern of the MINI. Tires alone will cost you $400 and up for a set. Wheels will cost you probably $600 and up for a set. Those are ballpark figures. I'd suggest giving Tirerack a call.

Where do you live? Are you into performance, or asthetics, or comfort? If you can give me an order on the last question, and and Idea of where you live, I can make a sugestion
