The roads aren't great here and there are a lot of potholes, any rim you can suggest that is light? I'd like to go for quality but not too pricey.

its a very vague question that's why!

what is your requirement? style as in 5 spoke/ 6 spoke? cross spoke?
weight? how heavy do you consider heavy?

price? what pricerange... it's way over my budget but do you consider the 500 buck per wheel Volks to be expensive?

ok, budget wise, go for rota, tons of replica styles to choose from, and lots of color options too

for a more premium brand, gram lights are nice and light, high quality, and relatively inexpensive (about 230 each), same thing to OZ superlaggeras...

With lots of potholes I'd stay away from ANY 17's.
