HELP! Will these tires fit...........

.........in my MINI. That's right I said IN not on. Tomarrow I'm going to pick up my new tires(set of 4) but I have to drive about an hour away to get them. I'm pretty sure if I just fold my back seats down and put one tire in the passenger seat they should all fit right? Just want to make sure. It would be so disapointing to drive all the way there and then find out I need another car to fit all the tires. I'm sure someone here has had experiance with this. By the way the tires are 215/45/17's. Thanks!

shouldn't be a problem. i fit all four x-lites with tires mounted in the back of mine with the rear seats folded, piece of cake! the tire place should have big plastic bags your old tires will fit in so you can keep everything clean.

Fold the rear seat down. Put cardboard on either side of the interior up against the rear side panels. Put the tires in vertical (like they're moutned on the car) one at a time. Do the outside ends first and the inner ones last.
I put a set of 18" rims mounted with 215/35's this way.

I was just wondering what type of tires are you getting? I'm about to order some in the same size.

I'm getting the Kumho Ecsta MX's. From what I've read these are really good tires but a little on the expensive side. My friends dad works with some guy who somehow knows someone from kumho(or something like that ) so I'm getting a pretty good deal on them, I just have to drive to the factory to pick them up.

That sounds like a nice hook up. I've heard good things about the Kumho Ecsta MXs. I'm going with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-DS Because I heard they are a smooth, quite ride while still given great performance. Good luck with your new tire.

Thanks Shawn. Yeah I'm really looking forward to getting rid of the run-flats . By the way I really like the part of your sig that says "Practice Compassion-Go VEGAN!" , I've never noticed it before. Is it new?

The sign is new. I added it after our talk.

I can't wait to these runflats off too. I have heard so many great things about the ride and performance ---- It's going to be great. I just got a set of white Ro_Ja Lt5 17x7 from Randy at M7. They weigh 14.5lbs and with the Goodyears on them I'm still 4.5 lbs lighter than my V spokes. I'm not sure if I will be able to feel the difference in 18lb of unsprung weight dropped but it should help things out some too. I painted my calipers tonight to get them ready for the wheels. They turned out good but it was a pain in the butt. What wheels are the Kumhos going on?

The kumho's will be going on 17x7.5 gloss black volk TE-37's. They are a completely forged wheel and wieght about 15.5 lbs. The volk stickers on the wheels are almost the same color as my car(hyper blue) and I got ray's dura-nuts in blue. The dura-nuts are these bright blue lug nuts that are about 2 or 2 1/2 inches long. They are really, really light but cost about $140 . Anyways I like the new sig, maybe we should start a "vegtarian and vegan " thread to see how many other vegans and vegetarians are on here.

Very cool! Those are so serious lug nuts. I want to see a photo when you get them on your car.

I'm for a veg-vegan thread. I wonder what type of response that would get. It's a nice off-topic thread.

I fit all 4 of my original 16" wheels/tires in the back when I installed my 17s. Thought they wouldn't fit but lo and behold they did.

I'm also a vegetarian, though not vegan as I like ice cream and cheese way too much!
