Carry 4 17" Tires/Wheels in the MCS

I will need to carry 4 17" rims and tires (Factory Webspokes) in the back (seats folded down obviously). Will this fit? Has anyone done this? Thanks, Alex

I had 4 17" wheels and tires, an alum racing jack, my small compressor, cordless impact gun and torque wrench in my MCS with the rear seats folded down.

4 will fit fine. In seperate trips, I've carried 3 sets of bare tires, and 1 set of 17" P1's w/ tires. Depending on how you stack them there might be room for more, too.

Agreed....without the seats, there is a nice round dip that the 17s fit into perfectly. I had 4 17 inch wheels that were each 7 inches wide and all fit perfectly. I never tried it but you could even work the rear seatbelts into holding them locked (maybe )

My buddy owns a Corvette with 18's all around. He can't fit his race wheels/tires in his car, so I carry all 4 of his 18's and he carries my 17's when we autocross. With room left over for a compact floor jack, torque wrench, 2 camping chairs, umbrella and other small items - with room to spare! This is just with the rear seats folded down and the package shelf removed. It's funny watching the look on people's faces when they see all of the stuff that comes out of the back of this "cute little car". Almost as great as the look after I autocross and beat many of the "sports" cars there!

Can't beat the timing of that question, I have to pickup my mini from MN and drive to Canada and was planning on having 4 aftermarket wheels and tires and wondered if I would be able to bring the stock wheels/tires with me, this answered my question, now I need to find some wheels and tires quick.

Thanks
Al

Get this, After getting new tires mounted, I carried my 4 stock X-lites with Hoosier PLUS a set of 4 stock runflats without rims. That's 8 tires.

I had to use the back seat (folded down) for all 4 wheel/tire combos with one of the runflats next to it. One runflat in the Boot. One runflat in the front seat (folded forward) and one immediately behind the front seat. They all fit perfectly.

Note: these are 16" tires/wheels.

No problem... Two tires stacked center flat on the folded down seatbacks. Put the other two vertical along the sides. There's still room for an air-tank, jack, tool box, race bag, helmet, stack of 4 cones (with the MINI logo on them of course), california duster, magnetic meatballs, two fold up chairs, and collapsible cooler (full of water bottles and lunch).

Plus, nothing is in the front seat so you still can take a passenger, and you can still see out the rear view mirror!

Hammer, that car looks good. I've got a DS/B JCW with a monochrome American Flag sunroof decal.

I need to post some pics since I had the trim pieces painted - gloss black to match the roof.

Currently in my car are 4 15" wheels with tires mounted on them and 4 extra new tires to be slipped on those new tires. It fits perfectly with room to spare for my bookbag and water bottles and other junk.

I'm late to the party; but I'm always amazed at how much I can fit in the back of my MINI! Here's 4 S-lites w/tires ready for shipping....
