I really wanted a set of steelies (painted white), vintage Mini hubcaps and blackwalls as a second set of wheels for my car too. I looked around but I never found anything that would work. Here's a link to an OEM wheel database that might help you:

interesting look...

TIRE RACK IS OUT OF STEEL WHEELS FOR THIS YEAR. I GOT "STUCK" WITH ASA ALLOYS FROM TIRE RACK. They look fine but the price wasn't what I wanted to pay for my winter package... oh well.

Mugami, Did you post that picture somewhere else? I can't find it, I thought I saw it somewhere.

I have the 17in S-lites now I bet theres not that much diff in weight between the steel 15s and these S-lites??

I'll have to look into it, the Holeys seem the way to go.

db
I'll bet anything that any of the steelies are lighter than the S-lites. The factory 15" steelies only weigh 15lbs each. The S-Lites are 25lbs each.

I just have a question regarding the 15" steels (R12). Even though a 15" size isn't listed in the manual for the Cooper S, I don't see any reason why these cannot be used on the S as long as the standard brakes are in place. (As opposed to the JCW brakes which I know will not work with 15" wheels.)

Any recommendations? and also, will MINI support the use of 15" wheels on the S.

FOLLOWUP: I've determine that indeed the 15" R12 wheels should work fine on a Cooper S with standard brakes.

To cool for new school

Mugami,
I was just admiring your MINI's winter wear wheel setup again.
Had two thoughts.
1. This is either the ultimate anti bling wheel statement or the ultimate bling wheel statement. < rests in the eye of the beholder.
2. Caption under picture reads.... Local resident sets off for The Bonneville Salt Flats to attempt MINI Cooper S world land speed record.
If I had the extra bucks right now you could call me a copy cat.

the Two most common things im asked are. Where in the World did you find those.. I haven't seen them in Years.
and
Have you been to the Flats yet. (top speed 163 closed course of course)

Also been suggested to Make them like the BMW symbol. or other Spinners used on the old WWII Mustangs (been thinking about adding Rivets along the side to look like an old airplane for some time now)
and to Chrome them and put the little fake diamonds on the outside edge.

Wheel Discs

Kinda look like Weld Racing sprint car mud covers, except no dzus fasteners to hold them on.

Speedway Motors has some more traditional wheel discs.

Bradley99, Well I guess saving those Tri Bar spinners all these years was a waste of space.
Thanks for that link
