Help! P-Zero Nero (Summer version)?

I ordered a set of 18" rims already and I'm looking for tires now. I can get a good deal on the 215/35 Pirelli P-Zero Nero (Summer version) from my friend, but I realized this tire is not available in North America in this size (but is still available in the UK and other places), so I couldn't find many sources of info besides tirerack reviews. I know the P-Zero Nero M+S is a very good A/S tire and a few NAM'ers are using it, but I don't know much about the summer version.
Does anyone here have any experience with this tire? Should I go for it or should I opt for the M+S version even though I can't get as good a deal on them?
My priorities are dry/wet handling, and decent treadwear. (I know i can't expect much tread life from a max summer tire, but are these at least acceptable?)

Thanks!
Derek

Tread is similar - the summer uses a softer compound (UTQG 220 aa a)

The MS lasts almost twice as long (UTQG 400 aa a)

Bear in mind getting the summer tire when you have a flat will be tricky.

Alex,

What do you mean by it will be tricky? Are you talking about the fact that the summer version doesnt have runflat model? because i don't think I will go for the runflat model even if I go for the M+S anyway.

Cheers,
Derek

What do you think of the M and S version? I've pretty much settled on them for our car...in 18" spec.

One of my most popular high performance All season tires, The P Zero Nero MS is quiet as well!

Decent performer, gets noisey if not rotated , it does look good though.

I personally love the KDW2's. I, and a number of my co-workers, have had them on our Audi's and VW's. I'm getting a set on the Gram Lights I ordered from Tirerack for the Mini. Like Alex said, the only downside is the noise. But it's really not that severe, and both wet and dry performance are phenomenal. They last a surprisingly long time given their performance as well.
